Wasn't there always a pause and a " but stupid" that came after the "very interesting"
I understand the move from our point of view, but don't understand what Vegas has to send back in the trade? Do we just have to wait to see who they pick off the other teams and then trade Kruger/TVR for them? Does the hawks get to look at the other teams lists first and tell them who they want from the other team and then have them pick that person for them and then we make the trade? If so then it's still going to be a cap hit? I guess I don't understand what we have coming back our way and how that works in this scenario without them having a roster?
No on the cheap backup goalie, because if we've learned anything on here it's that they are a dime a dozen and anyone is better than Crawford... They should really be trying to trade them crawford instead of Kruger then we could get two cheap backup goalies and win the cup again.I think the answer is that it could be all of the above and that we will just have to wait and see. Could certainly be that the Blackhawks want Vegas to poach them a cheap back up goalie or another right handed defenseman. Vegas may just send them draft picks. Seems like what the Blackhawks/Knights are doing is just simply laying out the terms or parameters of what the deal may look like if the Blackhawks "allow" the Knights to select TVR instead of trading him away. Also, could be that the Blackhawks may have to even sweeten the pot a little with Kruger, who knows.

Usually...but not just "but stupid". Was always one of my favorite quotes from that show.Wasn't there always a pause and a " but stupid" that came after the "very interesting"

This board is usually more levelheaded than most, but in all seriousness with or without Crawford 'the 'hawks are going nowhere with the D being in a steady decline since 2013 and it being completely FUBAR now. The only dependable man on D is Hjammer. That has to change either via incoming talent or a cattleprod suppository for Keith and Seabs. No on the cheap backup goalie, because if we've learned anything on here it's that they are a dime a dozen and anyone is better than Crawford... LeBrun reporting that the Blackhawks have signed Dman Jan Rutta. Several teams were after him.

I like this move. Not expecting him to be the caliber of player Leddy was but definitely adds a more physical and offensive minded dimension to our D core. We were so old and slow -- needed to infuse the back end with more talented youth.
Rutta's like 26, right?
He's 27.
I'm glad they signed the hot prospect out of Europe. I'll withhold opinion until I see him skate.
He's already a noted good skater sewing him skate ain't the judgement point on him, he's probably the best RHD skater the Hawks literally have now considering the Dinosaurs in Rozi, Seabrisket, and the T-VRosaur

Hearing Seabrook could get moved to Vancouver or Toronto.
