Two books that I read this summer that might fall on the list of classics I can't believe I never read were 1984 and Fahrenheit 451. Both very, very good. 1984 also a little disturbing to read these days.
That is on my list and I will check out Fahrenheit as well..

Lot of people have mentioned how disturbing 1984 is today...

Both have been classics for decades.

Midnight's Children is a fucking amazing read. Actually, any of Rushdie's stuff is great; his prose is just incredibly florid and almost poetic when compared to the average narrative

My favorite teams
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
  1. Washington Huskies
Going thru these now

Red Storm Rising - Clancy

Without Remorse - Clancy

The Little Drummer Girl - le Carre

The Man in the High Castle - Dick

Ready Player One - Cline

Red Storm Rising is by far my favorite Clancy book. The Man in the High Castle is probably my least favorite Dick book (I guess I'm weird). I really enjoyed Ready Player One, a lot of nostalgia in there for me.

The P.I.G. (politically incorrect guide) series books too. Particularly the Politically Incorrect Guide to American History by Thomas Woods.
