This thread probably applies to some of the older posters on CCS. Do you still talk to/hang out with your friends from high school? Just thought it'd be interesting to see how many of you have ongoing friendships with your high school classmates.

How old are you talking? I'm 26 and I still hang out with my close group of friends from high school, except one who unexpectedly died earlier this year.

I'll also run into various people from high school at bars and whatnot so I see many of them from time to time.

Talk to maybe 2 or 3 of them. They all turned into a bunch of alcoholics and tools. I think they're having a competition to see who can get the most DUI's before they turn 30.

Not exaggerating when I say alcoholic.

Lets just say this. If I was getting married tomorrow only one of my groomsmen would not be one of my high school guys.

Now most of them have either moved away, or have a family now (even though I am only 25) so my day to day hanging is not with them.

Mine too. I'm 22 but I have to say the people I hung out with and considered "friends" in high school were tools. I don't talk to any of them anymore. I talk to an ex-gf every now and then but other than that I don't speak with any of them.

Aside from an ex-girlfriend that I'm still friends with, all my friends that I hang out with regularly were my friends in high school as well.

Graduated in 08'' and I don't hang out with really any of the "group" that I hung out with in high school.

I had a two friends that were a constant and I hang out/work out with 1 of them on a day to day basis. Our other friend moved to the other side of the state and smokes pot all day. Not that smoking pot is bad, I prefer it actually...just not when that's all he does with his life.

Met my fiance my senior year of HS and we're still together hoping to get married next year.

I still talk/chat with people I played football with in high school. As for the people I collectively knew that id talk to at parties..they are out of my life.

You get classes of friends I believe. At this point my wife is my best friend. I love my brother in law though we are vastly different. I have great work friends but I don't hang with them outside of work

Most of what I call my closest friends come from Church

MOST, not all, of my HS friends only bother me when they want something. But I guess that means we still talk. :troll:

I was class of 2002 and I used to hang out with my friends from high school all the time. But that all changed a couple years ago when they all started getting married and having kids. Now, nobody hangs out anymore. I haven't hung out with any of my friends in over three months.

I don't like 90% (270 of 300) of my high school class, and I see the other 30 of em around town. I have 5 great friends from high school, and the other 25 people I call acquaintances.

still have 2-3 friends from when i went to HS on the southside. Friends from when I went to HS in the suburbs, I have about 2, smokin/drinkin buddies along with a few female friends. Dammit I hated about 90% of the people I went to HS with in the suburbs, but Im glad i went there.

lol **** those hyper-douches. i dont talk to nor hang out with a single person i graduated with.

College friends though thats a different story. i dont really hang with them because weve all graduated and moved back home, so they are all spread out of the country. but i still talk to them at least.

college was the best.

I hated high school and don't miss it one bit. That being said, same goes for most of my friends. Any friend I made in high school, I really don't talk to anymore. Several friends of mine were involved in my high school group per say, but I was friends with them before high school. I really only have one friend who I still talk to on a regular basis from high school. College friends were way better friends than anything offered to me in high school.

How can you recall on your college days when you have the maturity of a 12 year old?

Man, I guess I got lucky. I thought high school was awesome. I was friends with a LOT of people, but hung out with my close friends all the time. Many of us even worked together (we took over a local Burger King for a while). Anytime I go out and hang out with people these days, it's with my close buddies from high school. And I wasn't like a jock or necessarily Mr. Popular, I was just cool with most people and a few of my closest friends were quite popular, so I was popular by association I guess.

Shit, I met my wife in high school. We've been together since sophomore year.

I mean, there were quite a few people I thought were Dbags, but I avoided them then and don't see them much now, if ever.
