They suck. It's a fair assessment. I saw some little leaguers today more fundamentally sound. Chicago baseball is just not good.

Not really...

Any mlb team would beat a LL team..

Are we bad? Yeah.

Could normal logical talk be used? I'd hope so.. gotta understand that some of us don't come in and kick ya when ur team is down.

Whatever. If you want to take it as that. Fine.

Im proud of Z for what he said. All the fans thinking it and prolly his teammates. I didnt get to post in the game thread today cause i was with my dad watching game but WTF, why would they pitch to Pujols AGAIN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! why would they try to throw inside on him also :( Quade needs to be fired for last 2 days....YOU WALK THE BEST HITTER IN BASEBALL WHEN GAME ON LINE. Espicially when Holliday and Berkman not playing.

A lot of us in here are fed up.. Especially losing to the Cardinals.. even more losing the way the Cubs lost the past few days..

I think fed up is an understatement. I mean we have lost five in a row and I still yelled **** when Pujols hit that homer.

It just seems when one aspect o the team is working the other isn't.

That. The starting pitching has been getting the job done, particularly Z, and other starters are too when healthy. Bullpen has doomed us this streak.

If you remove yourself from being emotionally attached to this team, you'll feel a lot better.

I've learned this over the last few years and it works....you just kinda shake your head and move forward.

The Cubs are bad and they're going to continue to be bad for a long time...it's sad but true.

How for a long time? This team is so similar to 2006 it's not funny. Lots of available money. Players we need coming available in fa. 2012 could be a very good year.

People act like the cubs havent won a division in 20 years.

Yes the cubs are bad but a healthy rotation and fielder at first base and this team is much better.

The biggest issue next year will probably be 3B and maybe RF.

I think we will be alright next year and going forward. Plus some promising youngens in Castro cashner and Jackson. Plus if Barney can be adequate we are in great shape. Otherwise Kelly Johnson could suffice at second.

Reading the thread title I was expecting some you guys to be pissed at Z.

He isn't saying anything that is incorrect.... Were just not good. Werent we in first at one point at 21-20? Correct me if im wrong. My point of that is that we have been just terrible since.

Poods, agree 100%. Also, if the Cubs don't feel good about Barney at 2B, I can see Johnson. The Cubs have had interest in for what seems forever. Sign him to a 1 or 2 year contract. Maybe he can play 3B.

I'd love to see Johnson play 2B for the Cubs.

I would have yelled **** even last year... but no longer, I just expect it... knew it would happen, so I didn't care much.

This team is garbage. I knew it coming into the season. Did I have hopes... of course. The Cubs are a team that spent too much money on players who didn't or still haven't performed. I know a lot of you like Castro but he's gotta get his shit together. His defense has cost the Cubs games. It isn't hard to make a throw from Short to 1st. The "oh he's still young" excuse is bull shit. He's getting paid to make that throw and not chuck it over the 1st basemans head or underthrow the guy. Pena, well... I wish I had 10 million I could blow.

We aren't gonna have problems going after free agents.. If we were really in the shit MLB would be taking over our finances...

I'm sure as hell were gonna be spending some potential large money.
