Could this be the game where we turn it around?
No probably not.

I did two different bets today.

One, I think will happen, is the Colts just playing rope-a-dope and winning like 23-16 while the OLine and CW and the Offense will struggle as they did the first two weeks.

Two, I hope will happen, is the Bears come out guns blazing or at least heat up to show off CW's arm and potential, beating the Colts by at least a touchdown, something like 30-24.

I am probably wrong on both accounts and this will be a middling affair in the rain with lots of running and defense and punting, ending in a 13-9 snoozefest.

Colts D is weak against the run. I’m not sure Waldron is good at scheming together a rushing attack though. I’m kind of worried we’re going to suck running the ball all year. Bears fans won’t put up with that.

He scripts a bunch of the same types of runs which don't work to open games.

He adds in play-action and screens and down-field throws which never materialize because the OLine is giving up pressure in the first 2 seconds.

All we can hope is he scripts up SOMETHING which works, and then leans on it the remainder of the game.

I am hoping to see CW get a rushing TD this week as a mechanism to skunk all this blitzing.

Thinking of how they could possibly turn it around I realized it was the same things said for Trubisky and Fields, things to make up for no protection.

My family has a betting pool with no money - we mostly boast about how smart we are (how like CCS). I put in at Bears win 30-21.

This week's "prop bet" is longest bears run. I have end around to a WR.

Hope I am not wrong, but watching Calab's completions for the most part, he was pressured ugly. He stood in there and delivered ball. I think he continues to improve.

Two self loathing fan bases Must win game for the Colts @ 0-2

But the Colts secondary sucks. Williams could have a big game, if the Bears limit turnovers 2-1 would be sweet with a rookie QB.

On paper it looks really. Not as bad watching the games. A handful of bad plays on him.

We have a nimble OLine, not a beefy one.

What I see working is when Waldron moves them and the play away from the blitz so they can deal with the rush on the move.

He needs to pull in his TEs and OLine for some moving beef and let Swift be Swift.

The shotgun runs up the middle don't work unless your beef equals their beef.
