Who cares about yards? And against the worst defense in the league. you see against even average defenses they couldn’t do shit.
Because he's a rookie and winning is difficult. He's taking his lumps and this was a pretty big game. He had drives where he was looking quite a bit better than the QB playing opposite him.

Would have been something else if this offense didn't leave scores on the field. But as it stands, he's played better every week. Now is a pretty good time to feel positive for the future, in my book!

The bears gained 63 yards on28 carries against a team that was giving up over 230 rushing yards a game so far, yet the cry again will be for the Bears to run the ball. IF YOU CAN’T RUN AGAINST THIS TEAM YOU CANT RUN THE BALL PERIOD, THEY CANT RUN THE BALL.

He had one.

As bad as he may have been calling the first time out you are worse in figuring out when he should be using them and what they have left.

you’ve been wrong about this time out thing for the last hour.
You're right - he did a great job! (y)

Yeah I am here with you on that. RJ was the only back that gave this team a good performance. He should be the bellcow next week.

The lost timeout was largely Caleb and Rome's fault. They were celebrating the TD and joking around about who should get the ball so there was no way they would get a playoff off in time.

They will learn from this.

In a sea of negativity I'm going to say I like what I saw from Caleb and Rome minus some of the Rookie mistakes which are to be expected. The main concern has to be the coaching staff. That goal line offensive play calling was criminal

Most yards by a Bears QB in 2,184 days.

Williams has to be better, but don’t tell me that’s nothing.

Williams has more yards in his 3rd NFL game than Justin Fields has EVER had in a game.
Dude who gives a **** about yards.. so u care more about yards than a win.. we would for sure have won this shitty ass game with fields and Harrison jr. but a lot of dumbasses got exactly what they wanted.. fucking more than embarrassing that the fudge packers are 2-1 now with a no named loser backup at qb and we are in last place like usual.. oh but Caleb had 300 yds passing.. pfft

Kicking it out of the endzone is the smart choice, but we got fortunate that Santos kick was not returned.

You trust your defense to stop the predictable rushing plays and get the ball back with a minute and change with decent starting field position.

No, it was stupid. Your kicker does not have a strong leg that you can rely on to kick it out the back of the endzone.

You have only 1 timeout that you can rely on.

Your defense was struggling to stop anything in the drive(s) before that.

It was dumb. An onside kick is very low chance of succcess. I get that. It was still better than kicking it away and hoping the other team is as dumb as you are to not run it out.

They showed a replay where Eberfvvk was staring into space and reflexively called for the extra point, then woke up and said "2, 2, 2" ... he blew it . . .

Wow, I mean, WOW.

How do you lose this game? Seriously, HOW DO YOU LOSE THIS GAME!?

Was about as much of a gimme game as you could get and you fumbled it. And the icing on top, the Texans got their teeth kicked in by the Vikings...oh and the Packers won.

I mean, I deserve SOMETHING today!

The problem again would be the O wasnt ready to huddle.

Lol, passing yards are indicative of progress in building what will hopefully one day be a modern offense and a decent quarterback.

Anyone who can’t see that is lying to themselves.

The reverse is also true. When the Bears win, but they throw for 110 yards, we can see that that’s not a true way to win in the modern NFL.

Give me the passing yards. That’s fine.

300 Yards, 3 TDs, 3 picks.

Without regard to wins and losses, if this is a stat line, are you celebrating or complaining with such a game?

Are they picks because of terrible throws? Tips? Missed routes? Not all picks are equal or on the QB. Regardless…. The yards and TDs would show improvement so I would go with celebrating. Although I am really trying to treat the whole thing as big picture and not game to game.
All right bud; 350, 2 and 2. One ugly INT and one that was on the receiver. How do you feel about this performance?

Possibly. But the kicker was also on the field. Whatever the case, it's more poor clock management and disorganization, which is what this regime is (in)famous for . . .

I guess there are a couple of ways of looking at this—

POSITIVES

• Caleb ended up playing really well—363 yards passing, 2/2
• Odunze had a big day—6/112/1
• Got Kmet involved, also a nice day—10/97/1
• DJM had a decent day 8/78
• DEF once again kept us in this, and played very well
• It's only week three

NEGATIVE

• OL is very bad
• Run game was bad—IDK what to do with Swift
• Play-calling was bad, got better, but still bad
• Turnovers killed us—2 ints, fumble by CW
• We should have won this game, INDY was bad

So I guess baby steps. I had this as a potential win, and AR tried to give it to us so many times.
Some progress, but some real issues here. Still, it's only week three.
We should have won though.

Are you watching the game? You don't see improvement? He looks better.
Sure, three turnovers.

BTW, the strip sack is on CW! He bounced in a clean pocket four times. Can’t do that in your own end.

Lost in all of this is that if Santos doesn’t miss a FG that most of the kickers in the league make, the fourth quarter is looking a little different.
