LOL, and on the 1st play with Mariota they run an RPO, he keeps it and takes a hit. Then, the 2nd play he gets hit again. WTF is Kingsbury thinking here?
I just thought that too. Not very bright

Well I for one would still enjoy seeing the Bears thump a Mariota led WFT next week!

Someone drilled him in the McRib

Honestly on the play he started to indicate he was hurt on didn't seem like much of a hit. Maybe just awkward? Or it was an earlier hit and then got aggravated

Damn. Today was absolute worst case scenario between the Vikings / Lions and Texans / Pacers game?

How so? It is better for us to not have Vikes 2 games ahead of us.

Yeah, I scrolled back a bit in the game. I think there were indications something was not right before that final 'hit' or play. Not sure exactly when the injury occurred.

Scrolling back further, I am starting to wonder if he got hurt on the first play of the game when he had that big run. He seemed to start putting his hand to his side every time after that.

I understand that but if those two games go the other way, we're in 2nd in the division instead of 4th currently

Mayo needed 15. Taking 7 then 8 does not change the fact he needs both. He absolutely made the right decision. Analysts get this wrong on TV every week as though they're new to this 2-point possibility.

If the Pats are unsuccessful on their 2-point try it doesn't matter whether it's earlier or later. If they're successful and they scored the other necessary TD, they could go for a win.

It is completely irrelevant to "stay within one score" when either way you need the 2 point conversion. Missing it means you need three scores instead of 2. Waiting to find that out doesn't change that.

Now Pederson on the other hand failed to make it an 18 point game which would have ended the game. Getting 7 there instead would not have benefited him. He's clueless.
Nope. You only go for two when it's absolutely necessary. You go early and don't make it....game over. Now you still need 2 more possessions. You take the one and you still got a shot. It's all about possessions. Going for it when he did and failing negated the TD. Dumb move. You need the ball twice if you're down 15, twice if you're down 9. Only once if you're down 8.

Packers game I get but no real point worrying about 2nd vs 4th when it is more important that we aren't 2 games back.

Yeah, I scrolled back on my youtube tv stream and I agree. I think the tackle at the end of the 1st run is where he got hurt. Every time after that, you can see him either favoring or putting a hand to his side.
Broken rip?

I disagree, it's not that clear cut. Both strategy's are valid and the new age analytics often suggest going for 2 early rather than late so you know and can manage the clock/drives accordingly after that.
