Going to need Hendricks to be a hero!

I look at it like this... If the cubs are worthy of going to the WS you need your #3/4 pitchers to come up big in the playoffs anyways. And if they do, you get Lester/Arrieta again in games 5/6

0-2... in the series
0-2...seems like every cub batter is in that count
0-2...0 on and 2 outs every inning
0-2....down 2 early every game

Maybe their starting pitching wont get the extra 1-2 inches at wrigley.....maybe we'll get to their weak spot, their bullpen early and without a lead; maybe we'll score first......

But we are at a serious starting pitching disadvantage in game 3.

The Cubs are only at a disadvantage if they don't hit. This is not something new....they went through the exact same thing for much of the first part of the season. The common denominator is that it was cold early in the season and it's been cold in NY. It should be in the middle 60's early Tuesday night, so let's see what happens.

Or the fact they have a 1.233 OPS at home and .543 OPS away. Fowler, Rizzo, Bryant, Castro, Montero all performed in April when it was cold. Soler and Cogs were by far your worst two hitters during the cold stretch. Schwarber and Baez were not up. Baseball is a funny game. Don't over think it. They will go over film.

DeGrom gave up 4 runs in 5 innings in his only start at Wrigley. Hendricks gave up 3 hits and 0 runs in 6 innings in his only start against the Mets.

Bryant and Rizzo have to hit. The Cubs have shown they can run off long win streaks. Lets go.

Just take it one game at a time. Win Tuesday any way you can, and all of sudden, things start looking a little different.

The way they beat the Cardinals was to just out hit them. The Cubs have been out hit so far. Doesn't mean it will continue.

The Cubs have to play at Wrigley like they did against Wacha and Lackey. Damage control on the mound, and out slug the other team with the bats.

Met fan here. I like your positive attitude seeing as some of your fans have pretty much accepted the series is over which is a bit premature. If you guys dont beat deGrom who unfortunately for you has been better than both Harvey and Syndergaard the series is over. If you guys can get a win on Tuesday you guys are in great shape. Game 3 is going to decide whether this series is going to be a good tough series or a beat down by the mets. Good luck!

Well

The cubs are 30th in mlb in hitting fastballs over 95mph.....and thr entite mets rotation is made up of those kinds of pitchers (la was such a better matchup for us)

The key is getting ahead in the counts, ahead in the game and get to their middle relief which isnt good.

it's hard to get ahead in the count, we have no plate disicpline whatsoever, we swing at everything
