Took over 600 pics at the game.
72 and 88 are going to be an amazing combo once their timing with each other comes together.
The Hawks looked strong on the PP but couldn't convert.
D looked sluggish on both ends.

Was a fun game to be at, obviously minus the outcome.

Thought Daley and TVR struggled on the blueline. Can't quite come up with the proper word on Rundblad back there, but struggled isn't close to it.
Baun didn't have his best game and looked a step slow when out there. May need a little more time in the AHL to get prepared. Has to feel the pressure knowing that Dano is down in the AHL and most expected him to start up with the Blackhawks.
Panarin looked like the real deal out there. A lot of people around here said that he wouldn't even make it out of camp with the team, but damn did he look good in his first NHL game. Very excited to see what he can do this year. TT also had a nice game with the puck.

Should be an exciting year.

Sounds like he's a wart on the fanny.

He beat Hejda and Vish (thanks Rex) for a spot.

It's only one out of 82, but I'm not comfortable with any of the blue liners after 2, 7, and 4.

No matter what Rundblad did or didn't do -the one thing he didn't do is run into Crawford and take him out of a play where a 2-0 did not initially even generate (I think) a SoG - until the puck was put back out in front with Crawford left unable to get back to the net because .... well.... Daley ...

That turned out to be the game right there, score-wise. It was even worse because it was a blocked shot that created that 2-0 in the first place .... discipline :/

Edited: Panarin and what HW said - why am I not surprised that some guys have opinions that are not particularly based upon a dispassionate view of hockey as a whole?

Nothing I saw in those video highlights indicated anything other than a guy with a pretty wicked shot with a super quick release., with some pretty damned good wheels. I am going to enjoy this.

What I saw tonight (forget the other day although that sorta counts as well -as it was virtually a regular season line up) -was a guy with some pretty good anticipation as well - watch where Panarin comes from in order to get in position to score.

After all the celebration of raising the banner, it is usually pretty tough to get that focus ready for the game and that that showed in the 1st period. Sure they come out with energy for the first 8-10 minutes of the 1st, but too many odd man situations were the killer for the game. That was a tough hole to come out of against a good team like the Rangers.

Panarin was impressive and was given some additional space as Kane almost always had a Ranger directly on his body. Will be crazy when the two of them get this timing going. TT looked to eventually fit in with Toews and Hossa by the end of the 2nd. I think I saw Bickell make a smart clear out of the d-zone..but not sure.

Minus the 1st period bump, this will be a good team to watch this season!

Light years ahead of TT's first NHL action.

Damn straight. Hope Pokka isn't a year away from contributing. Gonna need him.

TT a young baby face kid for his first step onto NHL ice, how old is Panarin?

Are you saying they lost because of 50 or you're just counting the times he loses in net?

God I hope it's the latter. We couldn't possibly go through another year of people thinking that bullshit again.
