someone collecting trolls at home?
so he is troll collector but not a bulls fan at all?
You and your equally Special person alter ego need to stop. I'd write this all off as a joke, but not a single thing you and the other account you've posted from have done anything funny within this thread (or any other thread for that matter). This is going to be the last time I respond to the two of you.

This mantra you've been espousing that, 'You're not a real Bulls fan if you don't think Scottie Pippen is one of the greatest of all times' is the same thing as the silly notion of, 'You're with with us, or against us.' Except that isn't being a fan, it's having a fetish. I'm all for you having a fetish, except when it clouds all reasonable thinking and discourse.

If you look back at everything in this thread, you'll find that not a single person has said Scottie Pippen is an awful player. What they are saying is that he has been overrated by a fan base that apparently seems to think they need to overvalue him. Was he a great player for the Bulls? Yes. Is he one of the best of all time? No. Saying that doesn't undervalue him. It takes a critical look at his career and puts him in a place where he belongs. That isn't dissing Scottie, or not being a Bulls fan. It's called critical thinking.

Of course, anybody with a functioning brain who understands sentence and paragraph structure already knows that.

no ego, just opinion. i am giving facts that i can give. others can agree or not that is their choice. i am telling that pippen was a great player, i like his plays, technics, attitude to the game in 94 season and others with michael. mj + pippen + phil jackson was the best team. again, this is my view.

Let me ask you a question..... who do you think would be a suitable replacement for pippen on those bulls teams?

What's so hard about it? Who would you consider a suitable replacement for pippen on those championship teams? Any player past or present
You understand that I haven't said anything bad about Pippen in this thread right? You understand that, correct??

Off the top of my head.....

Jerry West
Elgin Baylor
Larry Bird
Oscar Robertson
Bob Cousy
John Havlicek
Julius Erving
Wilt Chamberlain
Kareem
Magic
Bill Russell

Should I keep going?

No. You've proved my point. Whenever I hear or read someone say things like you said in your previous post.... things like pippen isn't an all-time great, I ask this same question. And they always list all-time great players. Its just amazing. Pippen isn't an alltime great but the only players suitable to replace him on those teams are the creme of the crop all-time greats. Think about it.

Its never a player the caliber of andre iguadala or lamar odom, or even prime ron artest. No... its magic, garnett, duncan, barkley etc. Says a lot about pippens role on those championship bulls teams.

Lol I never said or implied you did. But you did what every other person does that is asked this question. You start trying to trivialize pippen impact. Then basically say he's virtually irreplaceable going by your list. Unless you feel the players you list are a dime a dozen.

You basically admitted pippen is an all-time great.

I think Pippen was a great player...

All-time great? I don't know about that...but that's subjective. When you say All-Time great, that means that player is top 10-15 to me. I can't put him in that category.

If he is put in a new '50 Greatest' he is at the bottom of the list.

Pippen is in the Top 75 now.

When I've got in arguments about Pippen with people I would hear the anti-Pip folks say (not saying anyone on here is anti-Pip, I've in worked in sports media for 10 years, with people from other towns, so I've had this argument many times) - "well, he doesn't deserve to be in the top 50 anymore." As if he's the only one, somehow.

If we redid the Top 50 all-time NBA great players - how many guys would be replaced? I agree Pippen would come off the list, but who else.

That was done in 1997. Who would be in the top 50 since 1997?

Tim Duncan
Kevin Garnett
Kobe Bryant
LeBron James
Dwyane Wade
Dirk Nowitzki
Allen Iverson

Other you could argue - Pau Gasol, Dwight Howard, Paul Pierce.

There. That should kep this thread going until well over 1000. HA HA HA HA :elephant:

Here is the list...

50 Greatest Players in NBA History - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

People I would take off, in reverse alphabetical order, would be....

James Worthy
Lenny Wilkens
Bill Walton
Bill Sharman
Sam Jones
Billy Cunningham
Dave Cowens
Paul Arizin

Replace with....
Garnett, Bryant, Duncan, James, Wade, Iverson, Pierce, and you pick.

Probably a couple others I would take off - I'm iffy on Frazier.

Honestly, he might not make it...Kobe, Lebron, Wade, Duncan, Garnett, Dirk, Nash...maybe he makes it...maybe not. But I think 5 of those for sure get in

Now I will sit back and watch the Lebron haters come out of the woodworks...as if James Worthy was a better player...
