they predict them to win the cup in addition to being #1 in the west (the latter shouldn't be hard considering they have to play Edmonton, Minnesota, Calgary, and Colorado 6 times each, which should help inflate those points totals, just like Detroit earlier in this millenium)
As a Canuck fan I suggest you don't waste money on Vancouver taking the Conference. Or getting past LA in the playoffs. Or EVER beating Chicago in said Playoffs.

Calgary? Reallly?????????????????

EDIT: And Phoenix dead last? LOL!
I think many people did not expect much from them.

There were a few here that did think otherwise (good call Eruns).

I don't make bets on professional sports, way to many variables, add to that the perennial disappointment/letdowns of being a canucks fan, and I've learnt better than to try to call something from the beginning of a season.

That doesn't stop me from talking shit though.

Let's just say that, no matter what I say, I'm not planning any parades, not until the final horn sounds; the post in 94 should be reason enough for any Canucks fan, yet the vast majority of them (on the internet anyway) refuse to learn from it...

Until you get past the Hawks just ONCE, you can't talk shit. Just like the Hawks fans can't say much to the Wings four Cups in 11 years.

Now Hawk fans can talk a LOT of shit to Canuck fans.

1. Cunucks have been embarassed two years in row by the Hawks.

2. Hawks won the Cup, somehing the Canucks have NEVER DONE in the history of their franchise.

3. Louongo CHOKES!

As much as that would seem true, i'm not sure there are any bright Canuck fans.

That was actually a pretty good call. I didn't even have them in the playoffs and I almost was right on that one. They were definitely the cinderalla team this past season. If I may, what did you see in them that made you think they would win the cup? Obviously you saw something that many others, including myself missed.

The only reason they weren't at the top of the Conference was Injuries. While they may have been a "Cinderella", they were stacked and picked by many to play for the Stanley Cup.

Carter, Richards, Pronger, Brirre, Hartnell, Timonnen, ect ect. They were a stacked team but injuries cost them big time. Not to mention coaching change in mid season.

True. I just never thought they would surpass the Stanley Cup champion Penguins or get past Washington with that Oveckin/Backstrom line.

I was actually worried about them some when we got to the Finals. Especially since Gange had just returned.

Washington never worried me because they didn't have the defense, and still don't. Pittsburgh had it, but it's very hard to repeat. They also hit a hot goalie on a very good defensive team in the Habs.

Re: 2010-2011 Season Media Standings Predictions/Previews Th
Did Malholtra and Hamhuis really make them THAT much better? Is Sedin going to score 100 points again (don't ask Canucks fans because they maintain both of the sisters will score 100)? OH and let me remind you... 7uon6o is still between the pipes.
Canucks are built for the regular season, and they play in a shit division. I wouldn't be surprised if they won the conference, and then got humiliated by a dark horse 8th seed.

I don't think theres any reason to think the sedins wont both get 100 points... for the last 2 months of the season they ran up the scores on weaker teams so he would win the art ross... Nothing like throwing out your #1 powerplay unit in the 3rd period of a game you are already up by 4 in.... classy bunch them canucks.
