that was the last week of the regular season, and do you honestly think the hawks wouldn't do the same if toews was in the same position? you're fooling yourself if you think they wouldn't.

What's important here is that I got THN's 2010-2011 predictions right in the opening post! Where I fucked up was in trying to be a good samaritan and help Mass out by getting those "partial" (heh) 2009-2010 predictions---so lesson learned here? Mass is *clearly* a fucking troublemaker. :D

not really, he would have already maxed out his 850,000 of bonuses, any extra bonuses that go beyond that do not count.

Vancouver players and the fans can suck a fat babies dick as far as I'm concerned



I enjoy them losing and crying every single year...they are the San Diego Chargers of the NHL...always think they're elite while never winning squat - other than thier shit division.



Their bottom 6 forwards still suck - they have 3 quality top 6 in Kessler, and the sisters...Burrows, Raymond, Samuelsson - are glorified 3rd liners....



Thier Dgroup still doesnt have a 1-2 ....all number 3-4's at best on any good team.



At least Kleenex and Tampax are happy, because sales go up in April for them when they bleed and cry the most

Mike Gillis, the Canucks GM, must be a brilliant contrarian. A team that shits the bed come playoffs adds...



Keith Ballard- Next NHL playoff appearance will be his first NHL playoff appearance.



Dan Hamhuis- The third best dman on a team that never got out of the 1st round. A stellar -12 in 28 playoff games.



Throw in the UFA signing of the playoff disappearing Malhotra as a 3rd line center and the Canucks are all set.

Since Mitchell departed, I think all arguments about the Canucks D getting better this year are rendered moot. Similar, yes, but not better IMHO.



Anyhow, anyone else catch the Power Play last night on XM? They were going over the offseason with the 'hawks. I found it funny that they stated that for Toews/Kane/Keith that they would have a cup hangover. Kane, perhaps. Keith, unlikley. Toews, not a chance. Some of the other stuff I didn't agree with, like one of the pundits there thinking Turco would stink it up (the other one though he'd do just fine).

I can say 100% Kane has no hang over. I will also say he was the FIRST to take the ice so far.

the wangs, they let the leafs beat them in their home opener in 08-09 :p



but then they went on to the cup finals, but to loose, so they don't really count.



Then there's the Ducks (lost in first round), Hurricanes (missed playoffs), Lightning (8th place in east, and 1st round loss), Jersey (6th in east, and 1st round loss), and Detroit again (swept in first round by 7th seed). I'm not going further back than the turn of the millennium.
