Oh how I'd love to be the Washington Nationals right now.

Strasburg-Mania + Bryce Harper is sure to be their starting RF by the end of '11....

Watch out for the Nats...

Don't be surprised if the Angels take someone that doesn't appear to fit their needs and seems more logical if they were the Cubs...

That would be an indication of a trade for DLee in the midst...

We may have 1 more first round pick than we think ;)

Jim Hendry is the worst GM in baseball history. What a fucking joke.

Not to rub salt into your wound but that is what happens from taking draft advice from Al Davis.

I saw on another board that Simpson was ranked 255th by one of the ranking sites. I also read that Keith Law is getting a gazillion queries asking him to explain the choice.

Perhaps the Cubs were trying to keep the signing bonus below $10,000.

Normally I'm one of the guys yelling and stuff about a shitty draft pick by the Cubs.

But this is exactly the same reaction that people had when we drafted Tyler Colvin.

Yep, and now he's having success in the majors. But I don't see Simpson as a starter, more as a late-inning bullpen arm. His secondary pitches need work.

It looks that way. I've never heard of him and I do keep up with MLB draft prospect. I am a little surprised that we took a kid whomost clubs had him in the 4-5 round.

this...a club owner needs to be able to spend money when its worth it...can't be cheap in these situations
