instead of making threads for each player on the roster, talk about it in here.

Kane has been fantastic to start this season.

He definitely needs Hossa back. Putting one of Stalberg or Carcillo on a line with Kane isn't an issue, but the both of them with Kane just don't hack it.

The line of Brunette/Toews/Sharp is having some problems meshing right now. I don't know if it has to do with Brunette's lack of speed or Toews playing pretty poorly the last two games, but I hope they get it going.

Brunette is pretty invisible and Sharp clearly isn't quite himself yet either. Toews is known for his slow starts (though he potted one early this year), but you're right- something about that line isn't quite working.

And nothing about the powerplay is working. That thing is a disaster.

I'm fine with smith being sent down. Let him get top six minutes and get more PP & Pk time in Rockford

Ehh, I much rather have Smith playing on the 4th line than Kruger. I don't think Smith has a very high ceiling in the NHL at all, probably a top 9 forward at best. However, Kruger has some skill that could make him a top 6 forward one day, so I rather he be in the AHL CENTERING (which I think is important) and getting top 6 minutes.

In a perfect world Brunette is a 4th liner, pp specialist. In the 80's Quebec had a guy like this - he was pretty much invisible at full strength but was potent on the pp -- J F Sauve (brother, iirc, of former cup of coffee Hawk goalie Bob Sauve).

But as it stands- they have him stuck on the top six, and was pointed out - putting both Carcillo and Stalberg on Kane's line, basically roots over the other top line. Seems more like the team could have used a legit top 6 winger, as opposed to slapping in a Brunette and hoping for the best (not that Brunette can't be an asset- he just isn't a top 6 asset at this point in his career - but rather a specialist).

1. Very upset about Ben Smith...
2. Toews is off to a bad start, but he has done that in every season since his rookie season so I'm not too worried.
3. Kane looks a lot better like I expected
4. Keith has been terrible. I'm not sure if it's because he isn't with Seabs, but something needs to be fixed there. I think the D pairings should be 2/7 8/4 5/6

I mostly agree. Smith is very talented and smart, but the reason why he's a good player is because he works hard during every shift he takes. That's why I think he would be a great 4th line center for the Hawks. It would be better if Kruger was in the AHL getting top 6 minutes because that's where the Hawks plan to use him in the future.

It makes no sense to give Kruger 4th line experience if that's what he won't be playing in the future. It also doesn't make sense to have Smith play top 6 when he's going to be a 3rd or 4th liner for his career.

Are you effing kidding me?

God Almighty Lord Jesus and all the saints... Duncan Keith is KILLING us this year! What the hell? He straight tripped over his own laces and gave that puck away and GAVE UP the tying goal.

And just as I'm tagging his ass he scores on a rocket. I apologize Dunc.
