toews will get it going im sure.

bolland is sick

hossa is still the boss

anyone complaining about krueger and or stalberg should be taken to the pasture and spanked, they are fucking 4th liners.......who gives a ****?

i still hate hammer

sharp on the shootout is annoying

if anyone is skating in mud it is brunette.......yikes.

Corey Crawford
turned aside 31 of 32 shots in a 3-1 victory Thursday night. Crawford[s record improved to 3-1-1 with that victory. He has a 1.79 GAA and .935 save percentage in five starts. (Source: Rotoworld.com)

Patrick Kane
has not registered a point in the Blackhawks' last three games. He was doing well as a pivot for the Hawks' first four games, but he seems to be in a bit of a slump at present. Watch this situation carefully, as Chicago coach Joel Quenneville could move him back alongside Jonathan Toews on the team's first unit in a heartbeat. (Source: Chicago Tribune)
Nick Leddy
has a goal and four points in seven games this season. Leddy only had seven points in 46 contests in 2010-11, but that's not an accurate representation of what he can do offensively. He's been paired up with Duncan Keith and that seems to have helped so far. Keep an eye on him over the next few weeks. (Source: Chicago Tribune)

I missed the last game - the homer against the avs - but in the previous 2 games, the pairing of Keith and Leddy was much improved. They played well.

Part of me wants to say it's just because Keith is aparently getting his game back, but Leddy made some smart plays and looked good on his own.

Were they bad in the 2nd avs game? I have it on dvr but havent had the time to watch.

Leddy is still making some needless turnovers.

Also, when the Avs tied it up, I really put most of the blame on Leddy. Check out the 4th goal by the Avs and you will probably agree, Leddy was in no mans land.

I would hate to see Montador/O'Donnell broken up because I think they are the perfect type of players for our #5/6 but I think Keith/Montador might be a half decent pairing. Another problem though, I don't think Montador should ever play over 18 minutes a night and Leddy isn't your typical #5/6 dman.

I'm going to watch that 2nd Avs game right now before the game tonight.

All I can say about Leddy is that he was a complete nightmare to start the season last year. He's come a pretty long way in not a lot of time and he's still super young for a d-man. Those guys take a little more time.

They may be counting on him a little too much right now, but it feels like the staff really see potential in him and are willing to take the growing pains knowing that by 24 he could potentially be really strong.

 Did you not see the corner and board battles he was winning. he is very creative down there and got the puck to Sharp & Toews a few times for very good puck cycling, and scoring chances

Q & his love affair with Stalclown.

Olesz can at least play solid defense.

Who needs that when you have a speed skater that can't finish?

But his fan club will continue to make excuses for the horrendous hockey player.

And you will continue to shoot him down without giving a good reason.

The only reason I think of is that he is so fast, you expect him to be a top 6 forward - which he clearly isn't. But that doesn't make him a bad player. He is a versatile 4th liner at the moment because of his willingness to go into corners and his speed. Also, he accepts his role on the 4th line.

Your turn, if you truly believe what you are saying, reply to my post. Good luck.

Stalberg has become pretty reliable in his own end :obama:

Can't believe I'm saying this.

Happy we have Carcillo

How true. I still have small concerns but he really looks like he is taking his second line status very seriously. I've been VERY impressed.

At the moment, I don't have any facts to back me up but I am also not one that is impressed by Stalberg. I understand that his production isn't going to be great because he isn't a top 6 forward but I also don't think he makes the most of his opportunities.

Granted, I will completely admit that my opinion is just based on the "eye" test, from what I've seen of him last year and this year. I just don't get the apparent love for him. He has some speed but I'm not sure about him winning any puck battles on the boards and I think people give him way too much credit for being "gritty." To me, he is mostly finesse and that's fine if that's his game, but if finesse is his game, he needs to produce more because his forechecking/defense has a lot left to be desired.

The problem is that nobody is in love with him and wants him to get Kane money.....the ones who like him see him for what he is, a cheap, decent player....the others think we are in love with him and want him to stay forever...none of us feel like that, we just approve of his play as a 4th liner making low money

And I can respect that... but I don't think you talk for everyone, I think others value him a lot more then you do.

And Kane is overpaid, btw. He is not nearly as valuable as Toews and makes the same money as him. (I had to throw that in there when you mentioned "Kane" money, haha :))

Honestly, I haven't seen one person here say that Stalberg is a top 6 forward.

He has the speed to be a top 6 forward, but he clearly isn't. He is a versatile 4th liner on the team. He can jump up to the top 6 to fill in every once in a while because of his speed. He has accepted his role on the 4th line quite well.

I take him for what he is and I think he is decent at it.

Maybe it's the sarcastic love for him over the past 2 years that has me sour on him.

As for the bolded part, I completely agree!
