And I can respect that... but I don't think you talk for everyone, I think others value him a lot more then you do.

And Kane is overpaid, btw. He is not nearly as valuable as Toews and makes the same money as him. (I had to throw that in there when you mentioned "Kane" money, haha :))
I knew I would get shit when I said "Kane" money...lol

i think I talk for the major ones who supported stalberg since last year (before it was "cool" to post his name in every thread) (Dero, Icehog, myself)
Honestly, I haven't seen one person here say that Stalberg is a top 6 forward.

He has the speed to be a top 6 forward, but he clearly isn't. He is a versatile 4th liner on the team. He can jump up to the top 6 to fill in every once in a while because of his speed. He has accepted his role on the 4th line quite well.

I take him for what he is and I think he is decent at it.
Exactly...nobody is making him out to be the next toews
Maybe it's the sarcastic love for him over the past 2 years that has me sour on him.

As for the bolded part, I completely agree!

Thats due to overkill of the stalberg joke

Yeah I did say Olesz was a bum at first but seeing him play more changed my opinion of him.

At least the guy has a fucking clue defensively unlike Stalclown who provides zilch.

Duncan Keith
Chicago Blackhawks have been giving Duncan Keith a bit less playing time this season. Keith averaged 26:53 minutes per game in 2010-11, but he has logged 25:53 minutes per contests this season. The hope is that by playing him a little less, he'll be fresher when the playoffs start. "I feel good every night," Keith said. "My shifts have been a little bit shorter. I'm feel like I have more energy and hopefully that will pay off down the road." (Source: Chicago Tribune)

Brent Seabrook
logged 29:13 minutes of playing time during Chicago's 3-2 shootout win on Tuesday. Seabrook played 7:16 minutes in penalty killing situations alone. "He was real physical," coach Joel Quenneville said. "He's a factor with the puck [despite] defending against those big guys for as much as he did. That's a big night's work, and I thought he did a great job. That [defensive] pairing [with Niklas Hjalmarsson] has been pretty effective against top lines." Seabrook recorded seven hits and blocked three shots. (Source: Rotoworld.com)

Ray Emery
will probably get a start during Chicago's upcoming stretch of three games in four days. Chicago is scheduled to play on Friday, Saturday, and Monday. Emery won the backup job over Alexander Salak during the preseason, but he's only played in one of Chicago's first eight games. (Source: Chicago Sun-Times)

Andrew Brunette
is still not comfortable on the top line in Chicago. Brunette has two goals thus far both on the power play and while he feels his chemistry with Patrick Sharp and Jonathan Toews. "It's more about me," Brunette said. "Sometimes we bump into each other a little bit. We like the same areas on the ice. We're both pretty strong one-on-one, and a lot of times we get a little too close and kind of cut the ice off from one another." The line should start taking off and if Brunette is available in all but the shallowest of pools, now would be a good time to get him. (Source: Chicago Tribune)

Dan Carcillo
The Chicago Blackhawks have been thrilled with the play of Daniel Carcillo. Carcillo has maintained his spot on the second line with Patrick Kane and Marian Hossa despite having not put the puck in the net nor getting into a fight. "You see Kane's highlight a lot but Danny was driving the net and distracting the goalie and defenseman," coach Joel Quenneville said about a beautiful goal from Kane. "I don't think he's that one-dimensional guy who just provides energy. He has skill, ability, and he'll get better playing with those guys once he's more familiar with them." Look for a 30 point season from Carcillo and 125-150 penalty minutes. (Source: csnchicago.com)

Time to see Lepisto. Q needs to stop his love affair with old fossils like O'Donnell.

O'Donnell has played great as a #6 guy so far. He is playing his ROLE, his role isn't to score goals. O'Donnell has had 1 bad game and that was the last one, I do expect Lepisto to play over the next 4 games and I think tonight would be a good slot. However, you still have no idea and continue to prove it.

Kyle Beach
Chicago prospect Kyle Beach dislocated his finger in an AHL fight Friday night. Beach had a decent chance of making the Hawks out of training camp but did not seize the opportunity. Now in order to play in the NHL, he will not only have to wait for an injury on the Hawks, he will have to recover himself. (Source: Chicago Sun-Times)

Brett McLean
was claimed off waivers on Saturday by the Coyotes. McLean, who was waived by the Jets, will be sent to Portland of the AHL. He is nothing more than organizational depth. (Source: Arizona Republic/Phoenix Gazette)

Marcus Kruger
netted his first NHL goal on Saturday. It took Kruger 16 games over two seasons to accomplish that feat. He does have the potential to eventually be a top-six forward, but right now he's averaging just 10:25 minutes per contest. (Source: Chicago Tribune)

Viktor Stalberg
With Daniel Carcillo suspended for two games, Viktor Stalberg played on a line with Jonathan Toews and Andrew Brunette on Saturday. Stalberg is expected to stay on that line Monday as Carcillo serves the second game of that suspension.

hmmm... Maybe some chemistry with Toews & Brunette has he has produced a goal with each of them setting him up

Scott really deserves the ice time over Rusty Olesz.

I mean he provides so much. 2 mins of ice time is awesome.

If Olesz wasn't making so much, maybe another team would want & actually use him right.

hawkwriter already said there are rumors he is hurt...thats probably why he isnt playing

his money isnt a factor in him playing...he is counting against the cap right now and we STILL have cap space

Kruger with Scott on his line.

No wonder that kid can't score much playing with a guy who belongs in a beer league.
