Brouwer with another goal plus an assist.

Frolik is clearly better.

It's in green so I know it is sarcasm!

Why does it matter who is better between Brouwer and Frolik?

Brouwer is playing on a first line with Ovechkin/Backstrom while Frolik is playing on a shutdown line - even though he might be perfectly fit for a top 6 role with his play. I would hope Brouwer has more points than Frolik this far into the season...o my god he doesn't!

Engage me or anyone here in an intelligent hockey conversation and respond. I fucking dare you.

I'm not advocating any of the bullshit here. You're moaning about not having Brouwer? Get the **** out of here. Brouwer failed here and he was given every chance to succeed.

But I'd be full of shit if I didn't want more from Frolik. Yes, he plays an effective game on an effective line... no question about it. AND, he's saddled on that 3rd line where he's not being counted on to produce huge numbers. He has a role and he's fulfilling his duties. 100%.

But jesus christ, with the amount of shots he puts on... pot a fucking goal.

Somebody please get the captain some real line-mates.

He's carrying that line by himself.

I heard Brouwer is doing well with Ovechkin/Backstrom. Maybe we should trade our future for him? O wait...

How in the world do you just skip over someone's comment when they call you out? It absolutely amazes me.

I agree in a sense, but I just don't know if he is much of a goal scorer because he doesn't have the quickest release and doesn't have the best wrist shot.

He is smart enough and good enough to put himself in great positions to score, but I really feel his shot hampers him a little. Hell, if he continues on his pace and gets 40+ points on the 3rd line though, I won't have an issue with it. The great thing about Frolik is that he never hurts the team (because of his defensive capabilities) and he plays a very important part on that 3rd line.

Agree

I'd love to get the 20 he was scoring in Florida.

Again, he's in a different role here, but the thing that gets me is that he has plenty of shots. He's not struggling to get the puck on net... he's just struggling to get one in.

Maybe it will come. I'll stop bitching about it, but it will remain a running joke between my friends and me. It makes it a lot of fun when he does put one in.

Brouwer had chances with the Hawks and didn't perform. I loved him on the Hawks, but Frolik in the line he's on with Bickell and Bolland is more effective than Brouwer on any one of our lines.

Frolik is going to get his chances this season, but right now his linemates are the ones getting it done. Just because he isn't scoring a goal every other game doesn't mean that he doesn't play well. He's a hell of a lot better than Skille and we got Salak in that deal too.

Frolik is better than Brouwer for the Hawks. End of story.

Time for Brunette & O'Donnell to retire.

Both are finished.

Who said Brunette would be awesome here? Who said it?

Everything I have seen has been the following: Brunette will be a 40ish point player. Brunette will be one of the slower players on the ice as he has never had speed. Brunette will make his money below the dots in the offensive zone. Brunette will be beneficial to the powerplay (sadly he has as much as it sucks).

Brunette was a veteran signing on a cheap 1 year deal. It was a good deal for several reasons. But hey, I rather have Ovechkin for a 1 year deal at 2Mil, so I understand where you are coming from. Totally makes sense.

EDIT: Just a FYI, I say this all to Captknownothing with all the expectation in the world that he doesn't reply and can't prove that anyone said Brunette would be awesome.

:yep:

I guess in JoeCawks' mind there is no middle though. If you aren't a superstar, you suck. If you ain't first, you're last.
