at this point its not a big deal...our 3rd line has arguably been our best line all year and they are playing LIGHTS OUT

this would be more of a problem if they weren't producing as a whole and not playing defense

Yeah, Frolik is looking like he did after the Hawks traded for him- tons of shots and none of them going in.

But the way that line is producing and playing right now, why ***** about it?

The 3rd line is the best and he isn't scoring because Bolland and Bickell are scoring all the goals. He'll score eventually. He had this same problem last year and then exploded in the playoffs. He'll have some good games coming up, I'm guessing.

Clearly not enough love for Stalberg setting up a play with his assist on the Mayers tip goal. ;)

Stalberg is a good fit on that 4th line and I really like what Mayers is doing on the ice. He's very smart out there and he's a big reason why that 4th line is actually getting sustained time in the offensive zone and even potting a goal or two... two things that were almost unheard of last year.

Big fan of the Mayers signing.

^^^ I've really been impressed with his speed. I knew just about everything he was going to bring to the table, but his speed has surprised me a bit. He actually has decent wheels.

Dave Bolland
has four goals and five points in four games. Bolland, Bryan Bickell, and Michael Frolik have proved to be a very effective third line in the early part of this season. "All three of us just click," Bolland said. "Sometimes you just have that line that clicks, and we're rolling. [Bickell] with his big body and [Frolik] with his good vision and good speed, playing with those two guys has been tremendous." The trio form one of the better third lines in the league, but over the course of the season, we still don't expect Bolland to have much fantasy value. (Source: Chicago Sun-Times)
Sami Lepisto
has only played in one of Chicago's first five games. Chicago signed Lepisto over the summer, but he's being used primarily as a depth defenseman. "I've been in this situation a lot and I didn't let it get me down before so why would I start now?" Lepisto said. "I just have to get used to how we play. Of course when you sign with a team you want to have a good start." Blackhawks coach Joel Quenneville said he's been pleased with his defenseman and didn't give any indication as to when Lepisto might play next. (Source: Chicago Tribune)
Daniel Carcillo
wants to be a more complete player this season. Carcillo is known primarily as a physical forward who spends a ton of time in the sin bin. However, Carcillo wasn't very happy with the fact that he only recorded six points last season. He wants to contribute more offensively, and he has an opportunity to do so now that he's playing on a line with Marian Hossa and Patrick Kane. That being said, even in a good season and on a scoring line, we have trouble seeing Carcillo get more than 30 points. (Source: Chicago Tribune)

Yea, I'm really concerned 6 games in as well (Kruger has only played in 5). Especially when the guy is providing energy, killing penalties, and playing pretty well in the defensive zone while playing on the 4th line that doesn't have the primary goal of scoring and doesn't get the most ice time.

I know I didn't put it in green for you, but I'm sure you can detect the sarcasm. Feel free to respond, or admit that you aren't sure what you are talking about by not answering with a logical argument.

Can't believe I'm saying this.

Happy we have Carcillo
One of...if not THE best move this offseason
Frolik worried about potting goals

:yep:

as long as the third line is playing the way they are and Bolland and Bickell keep scoring, idc...Frolik's time will come...he was snake bitten last year too

I can't wait for Smith to come back. He's going to mesh really well with that fourth line, I think. Smith, Mayers, and Carcillo is a very good line especially with how well Mayers and Carcillo have been playing. Stalberg is good there too. It's nice to have a fourth line again.
