It would appear that way but things change so much game to game. The Hawks were lighting up Luongo but all of a sudden he starts stopping everything...Im not putting a lot of stock into this blowout. Boston isnt exactly a scoring machine and their PP still sucks.
I'm just gonna enjoy this for a day hope the Bruins tie the series any way they can.
One thing is certain....they NEED to keep hammering them with the body to have a chance.
If they only knew in Beantown how many fans they have in Chicago for this series.....
Just a quick note on this clod, Aaron Rome. I just found out that this asswipe just came off
a concussion himself and missed the last 2 or 3 games vs San Jose. Then he goes and lays that cheap head shot on another player....this guy's got to be fined and suspended. But given that its Bettman Show....he'll get a slap on the wrist and be back on Weds.
Right on Bruins. After essentially losing the first two games in OT, this is the real start to the series.
Vancouver can play tough hard hitting hockey, but if you give it right back to them long enough- they'll fold. They're not hard enough to keep it up, especially under adversity. They get frustrated easily and quite frankly, play like bitches when they're upset. I'm sorry, but Sedin's game misconduct was NOT shocking (like Pierre kept saying). Davey Bolland got way under his skin last year.
Speaking of the Hawks, as a Hawks fan, you have to love the parallels between this series and the opening round Van/Chi matchup. Torres takes Seabrook out- Hawks respond. Rome kills Horton- Bruins respond. Hawks add Scott to the lineup and Vancouver's chippy play diminishes. Bruins add Thornton and the same thing happens (IAGO called this one). Luongo gives up a few and that turns into a boat load. The most promising aspect is that Boston played much better than Chicago did in the first two games of the series AND they only went down 2 games instead of 3.
Speaking of Luongo...I was watching this with my old man and we both wondered why he wasn't yanked between the 2nd and 3rd. I argued that given his personality, pulling him could really screw with him. My old man made the point that Lu doesn't have a great reputation of battling back in games where his team is being out played. Give up a few early and he never really gets better. Bingo.
Great, great game. The fact that the first two games were so close... that's all I keep thinking about and I imagine Boston is too. Game 4 is going to be good.
