Just a quick note on this clod, Aaron Rome. I just found out that this asswipe just came off
a concussion himself and missed the last 2 or 3 games vs San Jose. Then he goes and lays that cheap head shot on another player....this guy's got to be fined and suspended. But given that its Bettman Show....he'll get a slap on the wrist and be back on Weds.

No, he won't. He'll definitely be suspended; you can bank on it. That hit was way too late and he even left his feet some.

Edit: Already a hearing with the NHL scheduled tomorrow with Rome.

Oh yeah, he's gone for at least 2 games, maybe even the rest of the series.

I loved Daniel grabbing his face after falling there. Dipshit didn't even get touched up high and he's trying to sell it.

Agreed. When he's "on", he really just making the saves that a good goalie makes in the playoffs (and that's good). He's a physically large, veteran goaltender on a team with a deep roster. He should play well. But when he's off- hot damn does he implode. It's awesome.

One thing I really missed during this game... there wasn't a single mention of which Canuck was going to win the Con Smythe. I wonder if Keith Jones feels bad for buying Kessler a case of silver polish for his inevitable trophy. Not saying it wont happen, but good lord- it's nice to have all that stupid talk die down for at least a few days.

Nice job by the Boston goalie... see, as a forward, one needs to be kept honest, unless one is a brainless hotdog -and then - well, - this sort of thing ends up happening.

Edit: Seen the Rome Horton thing -- ugly, and phallic behavior on the Vancouver player's part .... and one of the uglier cheapshots one is apt to see.

Marty Turco has been on NHL On The Fly on NHL Network during the finals and I think he's doing a really solid job with Kevin Weekes. Their postgame analysis is real strong- especially considering how big the goaltending performances have been so far.

Its about time. This team is building itself a history of dirty play and the more this shit happens the stiffer the price they're gonna have to pay. In theory, anyway. But this IS the NHL and nothing they do surprises me anymore. At least they finally dumped the king of sleaze, Colin Campbell....hopefully they just let Shanahan make his own decisions.
