Did I just hear someone on Versus refer to Tim Thomas as 'Brian Urlacher on ice'?

Catching a few laughs listening to 1040 in Vancouver.

--This series is not being called even. :lmao:

--Nucks should start Schneider. :/ I don't think it's not time to start him. Short leash for Luongo in game 5, yes....but if they lose game 5, then yes, I would start Schneider depending how it went down.

Oh yeah...they had barely any penalties called against them the first two periods.

At least the MCs or DJs (wtf they are called) redirected that shit.

A fan is wanting/texting JR to call Kesler "gutless" on the air hoping that will turn his performance around like it did for Marleau.

Also dumping on Higgins and Raymond.

"It's amazing they (the Nucks) are where they are."

At the same time, I wonder the same about the Bruins with their PP.

Ok- if Vancouver drops game 5- I think they're done. By that time Boston will have run off 3 in a row, and I don't see Vancouver as winning in Boston.

Nice touch invoking Bobby Orr... personally I think Bobby Orr is more representative of Canadian hockey than -well, than Vancouver -so it really isn't one of those "Vancouver = the Great Canadian Hope" --- not a chance. Just my 2 cents.

It's official... I'm enjoying this Vancouver collapse every bit as much I enjoyed Chicago winning last year.

They just look so horrible and defeated despite it only being a tied series. Boston is outworking them on EVERY shift in addition to bringing a physical element that Vancouver hasn't yet seen in the playoffs... they look completely confused and unable to cope with with Boston is showing them. Van's powerplay is horrendous... constantly moving backwards and never getting good looks. Anytime they do get a good shot on with pressure in front of the net, Thomas is there to not only stop the puck but also toss around their players like rag dolls. I loved them pulling the goalie down 4-0... they were so desperate just to get a taste of the net that they were trying anything.

And Luongo... my god, the guy is fried. Again, should have been taken out after the 2nd. Hung in there for god knows what reason- and then got torched for one more. LOSER. LOVED the last question one of the press asked him in the locker room.

It's completely crazy. I watch these games and want to break down the action in a more educated way but all I can manage to do is scream "VANCOUVER YOU SUCK!!!!!!!". If Boston can pull this off (and there's no reason to think they can't), this will absolutely rank up there as one of the greatest choke jobs in recent NHL history.

EDIT: I loved the Bobby Orr stuff too. Waving the Horton flag before the game? Come on, how awesome is that?

By the way, I'm a life long Hawks fan and not somebody who ever wears hockey jerseys off the ice (I think it's weird). I only own 1 pro player jersey and I've only ever worn it while playing pickup games on the ice. Tonight, I went out and put it on...
