Ah the wait continues. Hopefully the other free agents hold up until Parise/Suter makes their decisions. Would suck to miss out on everyone as a result of shooting for the moon here.

I think Parise, Suter, Carle, and Semin should all get together, and say, "Hey, let's all take 1.25 Million dollar contracts with Chicago, as long as it is longterm we are still making good money relative to the rest of America, amirite? After all, they have a full year of Oduya and Brookbank, an opportunity we can't miss out on even though they can't afford all four of us under normal pretenses".

Parise - Toews - Kane
Semin - Sharp - Hossa
Frolik - Bolland - Stalberg
Carcillo - Mayers - Shaw

Keith-Seabrook
Suter-Carle
Oduya-Leddy

Crawford
Emery

:yeah:

I'm not a :homer: at all. :shifty:

Didn't know Rocky Wirtz & John McDonough posted here.

Seriously when do you ever have a point? See that is a question. The number of points the Blackhawks earned last year was 101. That is not a question. Figured I didn't have to teach basic grammar to an adult.

The other side to the 101 points argument is also -they just saw a team get in as a number 8 seed and win it all (that can't be discounted either).

There are clear holes on this roster, and they need to be address. I just found it funny that 101 points had a question mark behind it as if it was something open to debate. If the point was that 101 points was an empty number that a team with question marks could probably regress to a lower total, then I am in agreement. But instead it was just 101 points with a question mark.

Speaking of 101 points, let's remember that points are a little easier to come by than they were when we were kids. At 90 you used to be a LOCK for the playoffs.

I don't think 101 points is anything to overlook, considering how brutal of a division the Hawks were in this season. But this team should be doing more than just racking up 100+ points a season ... they should be winning more playoff series(es?)

Now, I don't think HawkWriter is that far off when he says a Crawford rebound could turn this team into a contender. I'd expand on that by saying that overall better defensive play (which includes better goalie play) is needed.

Even with one of their best players having a down season, they managed to score the 5th goals in the league. Trouble is, they were ranked 22nd in goals against. You get that 22 back up to the low teens, at least, and this team is back near the top of the conference.

But adding some pieces to the roster to MAKE that happen as opposed to sitting back and hoping that it happens is a much, much better idea.

I wouldnt say easier...The hawks were in the toughest division in the NHL and played nashville, detroit, and st. Louis more than any other teams and still got to 101

"101 points? really? you are going there" thats why I said it. Now is this debate fucking over or are you going to keep bringing it up over and over again?

All right I give up. I will stop "trolling" this forum and the Sox forum, and limit myself to the Cubs forum. Good day.
