That as incredible! I want really into the Hawks when they won in 2010, just a casual fan. As a more passionate fan this time around the feeling is indescribable! I already went tongue store and got some championship shirts :D just got him and have to get up at 5 am but who cares! #BecauseItsTheCup

What an incredible ending. Was it better than 2010?

I didn't get to go to any of the Stanley Cup Final games this year like I did in 2010 but I think overall this was a way more exciting series and finish. 2010 will always be a little more special to me because I got to go to game 1 with my dad, but watching every game from home in Baltimore with NHL Gamecenter this season was still nice. Still think Patty Kanes spin-o-rama goal vs Dallas was the best goal of the season. Won't forget that one, it was a memorable season. I wish I was going to the parade.

Btw all those above comments about congrats to the diehards, I extend that congrats to any Chicago fan or Blackhawks fan in Chicago, or around the world EVEN the casual fans. You don't need to be a diehard to enjoy this victory. I support all 4 of the major Chicago teams all the way from Baltimore, I guess you could say I'm only a true "diehard" to the Bears, and Blackhawks, but if the Bulls and Cubs won (especially the cubs) I'd be just as stoked. There's enough room to share this victory with everyone.

This has by far been the best season of a team I've ever followed. Never missed a game this year. Looking forward to the parade whenever it will be.
Two side notes: tuukka rask has the facial hair of a 10 year old, and I absolutely loved watching the hawks skate circles around charas big goofy ass.

2013 CHAMPS!!

Another Championship for the City Beautiful. Because of the Hawks, I learned the game of hockey. I know what offsides is now, majors and minors, icing, every damn thing! Glad this team is representing the city so well.

Who Will Win Chicago's 43rd?
Best Chance in 2013: :blackhawks: WIN!!!

Updated bitches!!!

And my insanely long FB post at 1:30 AM:
So many great players go careers without championships. Fan bases in Buffalo, Miami-Fort Lauderdale, Washington, Winnipeg, Columbus, Nashville, St. Louis, Minneapolis-St. Paul, Vancouver, Phoenix and San Jose have never seen a Cup in their NHL histories (Vancouver Millionaires of the PCHA/WCHL did win the Stanley Cup as a non-NHL team).

Handzus was playing with a broken wrist and still winning faceoffs, Shaw took and puck to the face and played the entire game bloodied, Toews battled through constant targeting of his concussion-bound head and Kaner overcame his alcoholism. Just the beginning of a long list of sacrifices on the individual level for the team.

In a city that has the best fans in sports but has been starved of championships for most of recent history - only the Bulls (6), Fire, White Sox, and the Blackhawks (2) - have won since the 90's, seeing a team come back from years of bottom-dwelling in the standings and a formerly avid fanbase turned away and alienated by the worst owner in sports history, and then win two championships in my high school years alone, it is something special.

In a season that almost didn't happen at all, from the astonishing 21-0-3 start to the even more remarkable ending and every last second in between, my only regret is that we now have to wait until the Fall to begin the title defense.

Thanks to Bryan Bickell for the remarkable playoff performances and Bolland for the winner, as I fear their time in the Indian Head is done, but the impact has already been made.

If it weren't for the beloved Cubs and their century without this kind of return on the passion put in by the fans, it very well could require another long playoff drought to truly appreciate what we have been privileged with.

To the hardest trophy in all of sports to win and the best hockey team on the planet, thanks for bringing yet another championship to the best city on the planet! This team will never be forgotten, and kudos to Boston, Los Angeles, Detroit, and even Minnesota for their efforts! It's been a great ride that has left the city hungry for even more!

not a die hard but being a casual fan since the Roenick, Chelios, Lamar, Belfour & Matteau days, its just great seeing a team dominate like this. I wished this for those teams when I was lil one.

That was fucking amazing.

I can tell you that my street is likely wondering what the hell is going on in my house in sunny little Falkirk Scotland.

Those 17 seconds were better than a big 'O' :)

Anyone a little surprised at Kaner getting MVP? I always feel Sharp gets overlooked, plays without a legit set up man and virtually has to make himself dangerous with Hoss being basically on one leg.

Get it up ye Boston. Boston strong? Chicago stonger

Not suprised it was Kane he led the team in points in the regular season and the playoffs. He was dominate this year overall. If anyone else was to win it, it would be Crawford.

Pierre McGuire is actually an awesome hockey guy, I agree his interviews sometimes aren't the best, but extremely knowledgeable guy. And Now I know why we don't get to see him up here anymore, I had no idea he was with NBC as I never watch American channels when it comes to hockey.

This is pretty good - 2010 got me over being a Cub fan forever... and now this 2013 ... that Bartman thing in 2003 wasn't the biggest choke I have ever seen (and in fact ... was just bad luck ... boy, I never thought another town's team could have that happen to them - but -well, yeah - you just don't lose hockey games in regulation with 1:16 left - let along championships ....

I saw a good comment somewhere -about how some Pens fans were jibing Hossa a few years ago 'about picking the wrong team' - the comment went that ' looks like he picked the right team, after all.'

And good night to all of that overly lame east coast biased coverage (and a special shout out to the idiot on either TSN or THN a couple years ago who said the Hawks better have won it in 2010 as they would only be a one and done - yeah -well, you can't go by simply having a history degree and playing rec hockey -you also actually have to know something about the sport (and in the interests of transparency -I happen to have a history degree and have played rec hockey - I guess the difference is that I sip lattes and therefore am a bit more elite :D ). Runs and Hides.

What a treat it's been having this squad be the reason my interest in hockey has rekindled itself over the last five years. Living in Indiana makes it tough to watch hockey, since it's never on TV, other than the occasional Blue Jackets game because of Fox Sports Ohio (being close to Cincy), and the stuff on NBC on Sundays. Even in a lockout-shortened year, I was able to watch about 18 'Hawks games during the regular season and never missed one during the playoffs. It was definitely nice. What a special team -- the streak, coming back against Detroit and holy shit, the ending to Game 6. Absolutely unbelievable. Already looking forward to next season! Wish I could visit my family in Chicago and go to the parade -- somebody send me a shirt! I don't want to have to wait for my shirt and banner to come in the mail!

Pretty amazing. What an awesome season. Blackhawks were the best team from start to finish, pretty impressive. Boston was a formidable appointment and a bounce here or there and it could have easily gone the other way - a very close series.

Credit has to go to Stan, Q, McDonough, Rocky, and other guys up top. A lot of those guys take crap, but 2 Stanley Cups in 4 years is no joke. It was a rough go around after the Stanley Cup purge, but pretty awesome now. This is Stan's team now. Sure the core is Tallon's, but Stan had to make those tough decisions and then we all saw how well the core could do without talent and depth around them...first round exits. Shaw, Frolik, Stalberg, and Saad provided great depth. Handzus came in for just a 4th rounder when many fans thought the Blackhawks needed to give up more and trade for more. The defense was one of the deepest in the game with Oduya, Leddy, and Rozsival as probably the best 4 - 6 in hockey. Emery truly deserved the cup as he helped this team out big time in the regular season. Q was able to get this team to show up every single night and in the end, he pushed the right buttons and made the right changes in order to make this team a winner.

Loved seeing Kane play at an amazing level this entire year. He was a guy many were saying should be traded. Watching him accept the Conn Smythe showed how much he has really matured. Same goes for Crawford, who many wanted gone, who stepped up in a big way and showed how well he could play behind a great defense.

The injuries coming out are impressive. Bickell with a grade 2 sprain (Q said only reason why he broke up the first line to start with after it happened in game 5 vs LA), Handzus with a torn MCL and broken wrist, Hossa with a slipped disc, and toss in Shaw looking like a mess. Warriors.

Going to be some changes this summer with guys like Bickell and Stalberg likely cashing in elsewhere, but I'm sure the Blackhawks will enjoy the short summer and get ready to go at it again.

The last 2 min of the game were just flat out amazing for us Blackhawk fans... I was still out of my seat crazy on the goal that tied it when we scored the winner. I squeeled like a little girl (the combination of trying not to shout out loud as wife was asleep) It is rare in my life I feel such raw emotion, usually weddings or funerals. I can only imagine what it will be like when our Cubbies win a World Series.

and there it is! "crawfordzzz played teh wellzz behindszz a GREATSzz defeensezzz" yes the defense was great. we do not win the cup without the crawford performances as 2 of these wins in the finals were goalie wins. we could have gotten destroyed out the gate in period 1, it was crawford who kept us in this last night. I just love how you credit someone and than add the "great defense" to try to make sure you dont 100% come out and say you are wrong.
