The Chicago Bulls had a stinker Wednesday night, losing to the Utah Jazz 97-77 at home. That's OK, though. It happens occasionally and probably will a few more times before the end of the regular-season.
Meanwhile, the Cleveland Cavaliers, with a 19-17 record, realized they needed some new blood and acquired Timofey Mozgov from the Denver Nuggets as well as JR Smith and Iman Shumpert from the New York Knicks.
The East was looking more intimidating to the Cavs than it did initially, and some bigger men were needed if they wanted to compete. LeBron James, it seems to me, has decided to take a two-week vacation during the season because he's concerned about the minutes on his legs, although the report is his back and left knee are strained.
I think he is regretting his decision to return to Cleveland, and I don't believe a Cavs fan could look me in the eye and say confidently that LeBron will be with the team two or three years from now.
Cleveland is trying to fill a void and get it done now, but the Bulls, the Washington Wizards, the Toronto Raptors and the Atlanta Hawks all seem more playoff ready than the Cavs right now.
