I guess it's the lack of consistency that bothers me. Varlamov they let play out and the charges were dropped. Bobby Hull is an NHL ambassador. Enuff said.</p>

From what I gather Varlamov's accuser was not the most credible person. However I do think that the Varlamov situation should have been handled exactly like this one--the Voynov situation--Suspended *with* pay until the legal system sorts it out. If he's innocent he comes back no harm no foul. If he's guilty he spends time in PMITA prison and is barred from the NHL.</p>

As for Hull, I like Mikita more, but I do agree that he shouldn't be an ambassador on that alone.</p>
