Well you just lost an entire PK unit. And your best pure defensive d-man that you just re-signed to a very good long term deal in that move. Remember how losing Frolik put the Hawks in a bit of funk trying to reconfigure the PK units to start off the season? Good luck trying to reconfigure that shit now. You also lost a great third line player in Shaw, who can play on the top lines if needed and was a really good net presence on the power play, and a similar type of player like that in Smith. All for two years of Ryan Kesler? No thanks.

Dude, where did I say they would trade all of them? Learn how to read. ONE of those players, plus a prospect.

Jesus, lol.

And the Leafs continue to ignore their biggest issues? yah that sounds like the Leafs. gather more offense which they have no real series issues with and ignore the goals against which is an ongoing problem. Not buying the Leafs rumor and this is the first time I heard of it. Did it come from Twitter? Kadri has been in trade rumors for 2 years now its what Leaf fans like to talk about.

Hell, I'd take Kadri over Kesler. Screw it. Sharp for Kadri.

No you're already looking at having to figure out part of another PK unit anyways with Zus gone, but then taking into account you'd be losing Hammer plus one of Smith or Kruger? Yeah pretty much an entire unit gone.

You think Sharp having newborns and a family has anything to do with him changing his "dressing room" style? Pretty sure this is all a load of over reactive bullshit also brewed up by some tabloid boner fans.

You had two roster players in an example of Hammer and Leddy as well, so maybe I misunderstood it. But either way, it's still a huge blow to the PK if Hammer is involved in a trade. He'd be way down on the list of players I trade.

One of Hjalmarsson, Leddy, Shaw, Kruger, or Smith.

Then a prospect.

That's the only way it makes sense for Vancouver. Hjalmarsson has a tight NTC from what it looks like. So you can probably rule him out, but I'm sure Vancouver would be interested. And I agree, I wouldn't trade Hjalmarsson.

The rest are up for grabs. If Vancouver takes that and retains some salary, the Hawks have a deal they can work out.

Kadri is just finding his groove. Leafs would be moronic to trade him away for an ageing vet. Leafs are still pretty young and they need blueliners not forwards at this point. Pretty fucking obvious the last two years that their blueline is just garbage and led by garbage. Anything other than blueline help would be a waste of time for the Leafs. But it's the Leafs so you never know what is going on in their fucking heads. I would take Kadri for Sharp too to be honest.

Leaf fans are the fucking worst. Any time I hear a rumor about Kadri being traded I know its coming directly from some idiot Leaf fan on twitter or idiot Kypreos.

So Sharp isn't being moved, you wouldn't trade Hammer, Vancouver would probably have to retain close to half of Kesler's contract to make this work pending on which one of Shaw,Leddy, Smith they choose, and they don't get Saad or Teravainen (of whom one of which they are asking for). How is this a good deal for Vancouver lol?

Well then that's definitely a no go if he's involved.

I would be hesitant. I wouldn't say a no-go though. Every team has a window of opportunity... The Hawks is now.

You guys make Teuvo sound like he's the next Gretzky. He could be very good, and that's risky to give him up, but at this point hes just a prospect. It could work out. He's not part of the core, yet. It could happen, but that's not the case yet. I would be very hesitant, but at the same time, I think it's tempting.

In one or two year's time you're left with the same problem if you give up Teuvo in a trade to get Kesler. It really doesn't make any sense to me. Even if Teuvo is just decent this season here, maybe something like a 40 point season, it's a win. He'll only get better. He doesn't have to develop into this great All Star player, he just has to be good.

How are you still left in the same situation? Anything can happen in two years. The Hawks opportunity is now. Not in two years.

For all we know, in two years some prospect comes up and takes over that role, or Kesler is re-signed... or there is trade made. Two years is a long time in this league, can't think that way.

The question has to be, does this improve the team? And if that answer is yes, then do it. We have a plethora is prospect depth right now, they shouldn't be worried about two years from now, giving up one prospect.

And they don't need Kesler at the cost of Terarvainen to win another Cup. They were a fluke goal away from going to back to back Finals for the second year in a row without a "true" second line center. Now that you have one, a young franchise type player, ready to go this season most likely, and looking to be there for years to come, and you want to give that up for maybe 2 years of Ryan Kesler?

You give away Teravainen and I am going to freak out... hardcore.

You watch... TT is going to be a star in this league... I just hope it's not for another team.

So now Tervainen is a franchise type player?

Played two games, franchise player.

He is not untouchable.
