B-b-but it's Kesler!!! It's a travesty we didn't get him!!! Our season is over!!!

I've never seen a fan base ***** about a successful team like Hawks fans.

2 cups in 4 years. Conference finals loss this year in game 7 and the same team again next year.

By now we should have "developed" a true second line center in Rockford. That didn't happen.

If you're blaming Stan for not developing a 2nd line center, let's see what he's done so far draft wise.

McNeill, Dandault (Both were 1st year pros in the AHL and McNeill had a very good year, Dandault not so much) and Shaw were the centers drafted. Not bad so far.

2012 he took Teuvo and Hinostraza and both are doing well.

Plus, he has from last year Hayden, Motte, Johnson and Louis who are all center prospects in the NCAA.

I wouldn't expect a 2nd line c to be developed in 3 the 3 years he's been drafting. But, he has some who with a little more seasoning have the potential.

I will repeat myself..................not Bowman hatred.

But if you want to steer the big ship you better be able to develop your crew.

When you made the decision Bolland wasn't the answer you needed to do better than Handzus as an answer.

**** Anaheim, they're still the third best team in California, as long as Wilson doesn't melt down and start trading players away. I don't care what their record said they were, the way they play, they'll never be a true threat to make it out of the conference, let alone their division. Just glad this shit is finally over. There's no way of getting Stastny at what he wants, it would've been stupid to get rid of Saad/Teuvo to get Kesler, and Spezza (and probably also at the cost of Teuvo) at 7 million also puts it nearly impossible to take while still having to re-sign players.

And Stastny is going to get that kind of money because of the way things have changed with the cap.

I laugh at those who think Tallon was a great developer of talent. 05 he had Skille and Hammer as the only guys to make the NHL and Skille has been a fringe player at best with seeing more time in the AHL then NHL. From the 06 and 07 draft only 2 players are still with the franchise or in the NHL (toews and Kane). Same for 08 (Smith a 6th rounder) and 09 (Kruger, though Pirri and Olsen are in Florida so you could say they were good picks). 2010 might have the best potential for Tallon picks (Hayes, Johns and Nordstrom) but that's it.

So in the 05-09 drafts (too early to talk about 2010 due to the NCAA players) Tallon had 43 picks and 8 have been NHL players (I included Skille, Pirri and Olsen). So 18% of the skaters Tallon drafted and developed have been NHL players.

Yeah.... He really was awesome at developing.

That's fine, my comments are now directed at any who want to call Bowman out as there are usually a few.

Handzus wasn't supposed to be a 2nd line center, and that's on Q. But then again, his options were limited and I don't fault him that much.

Who are you compairing him too? You don't seriously expect every pick to make the NHL do you? Approaching 1 in 5 seems pretty good (IMO).

Also, remember that Tallon was a big part of those drafts that brought Byfuglien, and Keith, among a few others I can't remember, into the NHL.

I like the current state of the Hawks organization. But I still have respect for Tallon.

Buff, Keith, Seabs and Crawford were all Smith picks. Tallon did trade for Sharp.

Point is, I think Tallon gets more credit than he deserves at times.

Not at all, but I would hope more than one a year makes it.

Tallon traded garbage for Versteeg who was a valuable piece of 1st cup win.

Under Tallon's watch he was the one who changed the free agent culture in this city signing Brian Campbell.

Yes he over paid him a couple million a year but sometimes you have to over pay to get the ball rolling.

(No help from McAssclown who went out and had to trump Dale by signing Huet; bite me anyone who says that was Dale's signing)

If you're gonna go down the blame Tallon game I can play all day.

Haha, I'm not blaming Tallon at all. All I'm saying is that with all the hatred towards Bowman that I've read around numerous places over one fucking player is a joke.

The comment about developing a 2nd line C and how I assumed you were blaming StanBo was what set this off.

Really there isn't anything else to see here.

No, no, it can still happen. Teuvo, Saad and Sharp for Kesler and Gibson.

Or Shaw and Leddy straight up for Kesler.
