What a great hockey game. Bummed by the outcome but the better team definitely won. USA now faces a tough team from Finland tomorrow for a Bronze...which is better than nothing.

The last Olympics USA and Canada played twice. USA won the first game and Canada won the important game.

That was a pretty lame effort in the 2nd and 3rd period.... by the 3rd period USA was so far on their heels they were playing hot potato with the puck.... Canada just had way too much skill.... their ability to keep the puck out of their zone and if USA got in keep the puck out of scoring areas was insane. Kane and Kessler on a few occasions were the only ones who looked like they could outskate their Canadian counterparts.
Quick deserves a Gold medal just for putting up with that shitty defense lol

My favorite teams
The defensemen on Canada were just so much better than the US and have been, the whole tournament. Good game, regardless. I thought Quick, Kaner and Kesler were the best Americans.....Brown has been pitiful from pretty much day one. What the hell happened to him? He was a liability nearly every shift. I would love for the Hawks to get Kesler from Vancouver....just dynamite on faceoffs.

The craziest part, to me, was that a game on bigger ice led to a more stifling defense than I've seen in just about any NHL game in recent memory.

I'm not sure i'd agree with that, USA has quite a few quality chances, but I agree Canada's overall defensive play was outstanding.
