You really need to look up or have someone read to you what a fact is. Fact is he's never done it. Fact is the pitching is much better at the major league level than the minor league level.

Yes I read it. And you won't find Starlin's name mentioned anywhere nor can he do what is described in your cherry picked quotes as the players the article actually mentions.

See I am a man of integrity. I can admit when I am hating. You can't admit when you guzzle kool aid by the barrels as is you get a greater dividend on stock that you surely own.

You need to read the article again or at least finish it off. Put the Kool-Aid cup down and read the article. Cedeno and Renteria as pure hitters? Oh boy.

Made no points once again. Oh and all those players are either hall of famers or had really good careers. Brett keeps on trolling. I like that he wasnt mentioned in the article with the best of the best in the majors and he isnt considered a pure hitter. You may want to stick to the Sox board with that nonsense.

Let me help you SilenceS since it seems you need it on this one. Doing a simple search of Starlin Castro and pure hitter and you know how many results come up? 3260.

Just taking a quick look at the top results shows kool-aid drinkers. No James, No Gammons, Just SilenceS

Lol, I have found articles ranging from fangraphs to Gordon Wittenmeyer calling him a pure hitter. I dont think you know what a pure hitter really means

Look up this phrase so you can find the point....."in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king." It'll help you keep up. And they call me a troll. We now have a trolling mod. Lovely.

I dont have to look up a saying I heard since I was 5. It really made no point. I sometimes question if you black out when you type.

SilenceS...clearly you are a good troll and a great Kool-aid gulper. English just isn't your native language is it?

Go ahead and post your links to established baseball minds calling Castro a pure hitter. Forgive me for not holding my breath

Nope, No one calling Castro a pure hitter...

No crime having a crush on a player. But you admitting that is like convincing a bear fan that the packers are a good team.

Found this on Gammons speaking about Castro. This funny how he finds it ridiculous on how people think Castro would be traded to the Mets.

That was a 2 minute search. Not including the archives of scouts.

Lol did you black out again? Do you even truly know what that saying means? Or did you interpret it in your head and deemed it right?

Hats off, I should have done a search for hitters. Of course it's the beginning part of 2012...

To be accurate he never calls him a pure hitter and again a 2012 article

Is that you SilenceS?

First link I've seen where someone thinks it'd be more than a prospect pitcher for Castro. :clap: But again no one mentioning him as a pure hitter.

Can you try to stay on that topic with your links? Or you can admit you are wrong. I'm cool with either.

At 22, Castro is younger than several top prospects in the game, including Anthony Rizzo; he’s vastly improved as a fielder this season; he has more pure hitting skills than all but a handful of big-league players; and he’s one of the most self-motivated players in the clubhouse.

Im pretty sure you dont know what a pure hitter is? I mean I know a guy with all those hits and a 200 hit season before 25 must not be a hitter at all. **** me, I am getting dumber every post I read of yours.

OK, you are finally going to stay on topic.....can't wait :)

At 22, Castro is younger than several top prospects in the game, including Anthony Rizzo;

Nothing to do with pure hitting..hmmm...it's got to get better.

he’s vastly improved as a fielder this season;

Fielding? The topic is pure hitting...oh boy...(must have been done for context)

he has more pure hitting skills than all but a handful of big-league players;

So has some skills of one but is not one...it's gotta be here...I have faith in you SilenceS

and he’s one of the most self-motivated players in the clubhouse.

Nope. Nothing to do with hitting. You let me down again. Shame on you.

Nice strawman.

Well, Brett. You called S a good troll and he suggested you were trolling, so I decided my parody would be a post. :D

That shouldn't be hard. Bears fans know the Packers are always a good team, it's just they refuse to say that out loud.

As for Castro, not going to talk on if he is a pure hitter since I'm late to the discussion but Castro is definitely getting better. He was great in August and if he stays healthy will get to 1000 hits at age 25. Don't know what you guys are even debating at this point

Astros hitting coach John Mallee has accepted the position as the Cubs’ Major League hitting coach.

Mallee just finished his second season with the Astros and helped Jose Altuve win the American League batting title while the club made offensive strides as a whole.

Mallee could have returned to the Astros under new manager A.J. Hinch, but he’s from Chicago and couldn’t pass up the chance to return home where his family lives.

“Dream come true,” Mallee said in a statement. “I have been in professional baseball as a player or coach for over 20 years and have never had an opportunity to see my family during the season until now. I grew up a Cub fan and always dreamed of standing on the field and representing this amazing franchise.

“Leaving the Houston Astros is the toughest decision I’ve ever had to make. Amazing owner, general manager, front office and beyond talented players. I wish my Houston family the best of luck and their future successes and hope they can understand and respect that I had to make the best decision for my family.”

Hinske will take over as Assistant hitting coach

Doug Descenzo was hired as 1st base coach

That means no Manny
