Pierce signed a 3 year contract? 3 fucking years? Dude is close to 40 and can barely move. He still makes big shots but he is just for the playoffs and nothing else.

He can retire at any time.

Sounds like Okafor will really be competing for playing time down in the post.

im convinced Krause has possessed Gar Forman

Gar has pushed out a coach to bring in a Iowa State one and has a fetish for power forwards...uncanny

Haha nice.

I think they've come to the realization that Noah is done as a productive NBA player and they can't rely on Taj's ankles to stay healthy.

If they are comfortable with Portis as a #4 after Summer league, this signing indicates emergency depth. I suspect Noah or Gibson will be gone by season start, if not, Noah will be traded by deadline unless he has a miracle recovery and forces us to keep him or we desire his expiring contract for ourself?

NBA has become too complicated to guess all the reasons for moves.

I think we likely keep the roster in tact this season and just let Noah finish out his contract. I would like to see some sort of trade but that's just not the way our front office runs things.

Noah is no longer trade bait at this point other than as an expiring and we wouldn't get much in return. It's sad to say but Thibs ran him completely into the ground. His knee is toast now. I think we ride out his contract this year and that's it for him.

In two years we could be looking at a starting line-up of

Rose-Butler-McDermott-Mirotic-Portis so we better win now with them as support players and these old veterans that can play. I hope Gasol retires I Bull but what if he wants to unite with his bro? Or wants to be paid max? That future is a bizarro world of perimeter penetration and bigs that shoot 3's all day, but **** if that team don't run up the floor. I hope we try it this year a little and start to prepare for that future.

You're assuming we won't sign/draft a center in the next 2 years? You believe there's a team that would offer Pau a max? I agree with your overall point, but come on man.

Well thats a steal for Denver!! They got a premium on Lawson because Houston thinks its the missing piece to push to championship. Very interesting, but a first for Lawson seems a bit pricey while he is in rehab for alcohol, plus 4 players Houston must be paying to ditch.

Still....Denver is a bit screwed and have little options to become competitive in west. This was a good move for them, they should probably build around Faried, but building around an athlete while they use up their miles is kinda dumb too.

Eh...not total garbage. Kostas can be a solid player (though they have 10000000 wings on this team so idk). In any case, it seems Denver was done with Lawson anyway so at least they managed to get a pick and some prospects.
