LOL Bruins

On this graph, the black bar shows the Corsi For % for Bruins players that were skating WITH Hamilton. The other bar shows what happened when those players skated withOUT Hamilton.

Flames traded their #15 pick and 2 second round picks for Dougie Hamilton of the Bruins.

What the **** is Don Sweeney drinking??

I heard they were going to let him walk if he had an offer sheet anyway... so really they probably received more than they would have, plus they get to use the draft picks this year.

Not really saying it was a good deal for them, but it makes sense to take that deal if they were going to let him go anyway.

He must not play the Bruins way or have that Bruins heart. The Phil Kessel trade moves on and on

Just read an article from a Boston beat writer saying that Sweeney wasn't worried about an offer sheet since they would match it on the spot.

Boston just shipped Lucic to the Kings for Martin Jones and their 1st pick.

Boston now has the 12th, 13th and 14th pick. What the hell!

Well it's just a 1 year deal so that can make some sense. But it seems like it's a rebuild year unless they start adding something with those draft picks, like Sharp!

LMAO @ BOSTON

Holy crap. They get the 3 consecutive picks... and take 2 guys they could have easily taken in the 2nd round.

Too funny.

So Mike Richards didn't even get bought out by the Kings as they were able to terminate his contract due to "material breach". That would be:

(a) fail, refuse or neglect to obey the Club’s rules governing training and conduct of Players, if such failure, refusal or neglect should constitute a material breach of the SPC.

(b) fail, refuse or neglect to render his services hereunder or in any manner materially breach the SPC.

I'm not sure if it's something criminal he might have done and hasn't been charged with (my guess is the coke rumors a while back were true) but I hope to god he sues the shit out of the Kings and the NHL nails the Kings with some type of penalty.

Penguins are retards. Gave up a top end prospect in Kapanen, gave away another prospect in Harrington, and a 1st rounder and now have 38 million tied into Crosby, Malkin, Kessel, Letang and Fleury with NO young players to fill in with their elc contracts.

So Penguins win the cup right? They finally got themselves a REAL 1st line winger for Crosby

I mean, they already had one in James Neal, and they traded him for Patric Hornqvist... lol

The Pens are stupid. Half their salary cap is going towards 1 line and a goalie. Hope that line is ready to play 60 minutes a game! Fatty Kessel might have to hit the treadmill hard for this season.

Full trade is:

Pens: Kessel and also get Tyler Biggs (a bust of a draft pick), Tim Erixon (couldn't hack it with Hawks) and a 2nd rounder. Leafs will retain 1.25 million of Kessels contract.

Pitts is left with good top 2 lines, even a bit of a 3rd. Their D is Letang followed by Scuderi, Ian Cole, Lovejoy Maatta and Erixon with 6.4 million available.

Looks like they are going to go with the old "**** defense, just gotta score more goals than the other team" philosophy.

Leafs: Kapanen, Scott Harrington, Nick Spalding, 1st round pick and 3rd rounder for 2016.

Tim Erixon will finally find that groove, we can just feel it.

In other D- news, supposedly the Kings and RedWings are interested in signing Oduya. hmmm.

The Chicago area D who was apart of the Yandle trade signed a 3 year deal with New Jersey which is a bummer, I was hoping there was a chance he could be signed by the Hawks.

THANKFULLY Barrette Jackman signed a deal with the Predators so he won't be mucking up the ice on the Hawks. I think now Stan must be holding off to look for a D who can play in return for his trades of Sharp/Bicks/ or maybe Steeger
