No, it's trade up to draft Williams because they think the Pistons will do it before them.

Williams is the guy
That buzz about him has been too much to discount that he's in play at #4.

The point is your supposed to get Cory Maggette or James Worthy at #4...not Patrick Williams, who will have a hard time developing a skill game to be effective in the league as a non-stretch PF.

Azabuikie has more touch around the rim right now than Williams will ever have. If you want a rim player take a freaking rim player. Williams is the worst pick I can imagine there. So...after the "leak" news....anything else will make me happy.

Maybe this GM is triple voodoo three dimensional facade of chaos chess smart.
Is your thing to always predict the worst? This isn't the first time you've freaked out about something that either hadn't, or never happened.

The only way Williams makes any sense at all at 4 either, is if the Bulls have a deal to trade back into the top 10. There is no question he is a PF...no business whatsoever at SF. imo.

So if rumors are true...the smoke is telling me the wild prediction should be...

1. Bulls take Williams at #4
2. Bulls trade back into top 10 and take either Ball or Hayes(or Anthony?), maybe even Hayes over a falling Ball.

Lavine/Lauri are gone as requested by their agents.

The Bulls go to new level of total suckdum similar to the baby bulls for 1-3 years, collecting several more elite prospects, including maybe 1-2 extra in this draft?

I mean...that really has to be the path anyway doesn't it? Will Donovan stick around for all that? Did we get him to be like a college age coach for a super young team? Maybe?!

Thats my bs smoke report. Signing off

There's rumors they already told him if he's there at four they're taking him.

Still TeamLamelo here but Williams plays defense and with a team full of players who refuse to play defense I'm not surprised with this.

I'm #TeamPG, especially after not extending the qualifier to Dunn, but I'm with you on the defensive part - oddly enough, because again of Dunn.

I just think there is currently too much smoke.

no dude...I just watched his highlights. Thats not what he is. He's a PF or C actually. Draymond Green. 7' wingspan. Stiff athlete though. Very strong. Too heavy to get out and defend stretch 3's and 4's well. But maybe long enough to get by at 4.

He's very stiff. Vertical athlete only, and I think thats a big change in the NBA.

I'm praying in Knoxville.

TRADE UP!! Swap Lavine for Edwards or WCJ for Wiseman and I will be very happy.

If we trade up: James "never made it as a" Wiseman
If we stay put: Patrick Williams*

*assuming the top 3 picks go as planned (Edwards, Wiseman, Ball)

I hope if Williams is their guy, they can find a way to trade back a few spots and pick up an asset or two and still get him.

Fresh bowl, new

SMOKE REPORT...4:45 pm(post 420)

I started thinking this all hinges on Minnesota. And teams are holding their breathe Minnesota takes Ball/Edwards.

If that happens...I was thinking about who the warriors would want...and realized they would actually want Lauri...who wants out.

Because Lauri stretches the death star back wide while picking up rebounds.

Green-Markenen-Thompson-Curry-

It makes sense for G.S. to abandon the deep future all together and try to win a chip. So they actually trade out of it and get a polished piece, thinking they can fix his 3 point woes, which they probably can to tell you the truth because he has the talent for it, they will give him space, and the best 3-point shooting school there is.

If I were G.S. that is who I would want. And he's a guy rumored to want out, nearing contract end...Bulls get something juicy for it works for me, though he to me is currently the Bulls MVP. Thats what it would take I imagine to move up to #2 with wiseman on the board, your most valuable asset, #4, and maybe even next years 1st or Lavine if that is cap possible. A volume scorer would be like Durant for them, Lavine is a poor man's Durant whose defense they could fix like they did Durant.

Lavine back to Minnesota or Lauri to G.S. are at least projectable to be desirable in a trade with those teams right now.

3 possible trades.

1. Zach Lavine, #4, '21 1strd to Minnesota for #1
2. Lauri Markenen, #4, '22 top 10 protected 1st rd to G.S. for #2
3. G.S. gets both Lavine/Markenen...for #2. Bulls retain #4 and take Williams?, in a Brand/Chandler/Curry recurring shadow image.

It always seems like trades in the NBA are super expensive, so I am probably short half or some crazy shit.

Let teams fight over Ball and Toppin and stay at #4 or move down, imo. Would be a better strategy in this draft.

What if you could get Edwards or Wiseman at #4...cuz Ball and Toppin get traded up for?

Or, and I don't mean this in like a condescening way, just a really really high way..

Like you could do the LOGICAL FUCKING THING...and stay at #4...and draft Obi Toppin, the best player in the draft in terms of team impact right now, that looks LIKE A FUCKING ALL-STAR...you know...

like fucking draft the one that looks like an NBA all-star...in his body...the way he moves..he reminds me of Shawn Marion.

I don't know...that crazy fucking asshole stupid idiot talk right? Draft the all-star? Who do I think I am? I mean why would you do that when you can draft the smoke of hope and projected upsides?!

Go get some 19 year old that might help you more on another team in 2027. Cool beans. Or you could draft the rookie of the year at #4.

Tough decision for these data brats.

I don't think there's a player in this draft that really makes me happy. I like Toppin because he'd be at least fun to watch, but he's redundant with what we have now.

We need a PG or SF, but I don't think there's a player at either position warranting the 4th pick.

Now, I was just watching ATH on ESPN and the rumors are apparently Carter Jr + #4 to Golden State for Wiseman at 2. No idea if that's legit.

I wouldn't be mad if we got Wiseman, but I think that'd be too much given up just to secure him.

It might hinge for Golden State on who is selected at #1.

So that they know 1 of 2 guys will be available at #4?

I just feel like there are domino's here that are probably similar to that.

Like Golden State knows who the Bulls want...right? So they could drop 2 spots and know its 1 of 2. That would depend on who goes at #1, or they just take their guy.

If that happens...the Bulls could still get their guy at #4...or now the #3 might have Wiseman sitting in it or something crazy...and we get leaped.

Just feels like tonight is going to be a sad empty night that leaves me hollow for weeks. Bulls will get screwed somehow or hamstring themselves while blowing an achilles at the same time leaving us crippled in a busy street for a decade.

Better smoke a sativa.

thats the dream trade. would love, but prepare yourself to also see multiple future picks involved and/or another player.

For sure a possibility, I could see them coveting his switch and roll and mid-range game and rebounds with an aging Green. Especially if the Bulls were very cool when Lauri's name was mentioned. Lets hope this goes down.

Thats a rumor I like, or Lavine to Minnesota is another that I heard that I would like in the realm of possiblity, as it likely Minnesota wants to win now, and pair Edwards or Lavine complimenting their big 2. Lavine is ready now, as are their all-stars, so I heard they were thinking about getting Lavine back and going for it. Might be Towns last year and they need something. Thats interesting having two win-now teams at #1 and #2.

I wouldn't be against trading up for Edwards at #1 either. Or Wiseman. Clearly the top 2 guys long term for me. You want them to be long-term impact, franchise all-stars.

This should be wild.

Dude...I'm too high and tripping to be reading that OKC just ripped somebody else off...again!! LOL...and keeps compiling picks and young players for old players,

Plus read the fine print....they acquired a Serbian Star in the deal, AND a LIMITED protection first, as OKC correctly guesses 76ers will be mired in a rebuild in 2025.. Its unreal what OKC does. My god they are going to be unstoppable...I guess you HAVE TO BUILD like that when you can't get a free-agent.

The Bulls should look themselves in the mirror and realize thats the approach they have to take with their reputation right now.

I'll bet you they hold Horford until the trade deadline or something, with lots of rest days and show case him. He is easy to plug and play around, but they will turn him into something for the future too.
