Corey Maggette was a 6th man in college and he was an 18 PER player.
Well FSU was a talented roster. Maybe not Worthy/Jordan N.C deep, Walton UCLA deep, or anything, but in addition Florida state only scored 50-60ppg, so I'm aware its nuanced. I just don't like his body to develop that much, upside is lower than others as was mentioned by others.

I think it's going to be one of those LaMarcus Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas trades.*

* I have much more confidence in AKME to not make that player evaluation.
yeah, thats what I'm afraid of. being upset tonight...like Lauri is off the team, Lavine is gone for a mid first, and we get busts Ball or Hayes and Williams type of a night.

Baby Bulls reset tonight.
Maybe it is inevitable, just smoke some weed and chill, deal with the change. A shake up is necessary and it may take a while.

We need something and we hold the #4..but it just feels like a bunch of bad choices unless Ball can go ahead of us, or we do something smart like trade down or take a big. Okongwu and Azabuike are actually fairly big time post men.

Wiseman has more mobility and upside, but those guys are like legit problem Centers that can start day one and contribute rebounds for sure.

Azabuike in particular, is looked over for era. But its not like people didn't want Jordan on their team. The 7'7" inch wingspan is an instant addition when paired with 280 lbs, good quickness.

He'll be a player that matters in the league.

So it's either going to be trade up for Wiseman or draft Williams?

With Ball...I just get nervous. Like we saw this before. If anything I like Lonzo's body better. They aren't Jason Kidd, where they can get what they want inside athletically, and strength...durability.

So...they can't live off penetration, and this isn't the Curry family.

I read the scouting report...and its just like Lonzo. Passing wise its Jason Kidd. And the length means some extra rebounds. They know the game, live and breathe basketball, etc..

You like them on your team, but lets learn from the last one. They belong in the teens and are role players.

Yeah...our GM is a foreigner?

If that happens its one of those things where something is missing. Like...context and an understanding of american basketball or something is off center.

I'm not going to entertain the rumors until it happens. I hope we trade up.

I think Williams would be the strangest pick in the NBA since Bennett to Cleveland at #1.

I've been trying to figure out why people like Hayes too. I don't get it. You see guys like that all over the place...the head faints and quick step looks great in Europe. He is going to be smothered in the NBA with guys longer and quicker than him.

He's Lithuanian.

So this is going to sound fucked up...but you have an eastern european at a meat market among meats he doesn't understand. He doesn't see the difference in Williams body maybe, compared to an elite athlete. You can't take that guy ahead of a collection of stud athletes.
You would be way better off with Azuibike if you want Williams game to translate to NBA.

Williams is an undersized super strong guy, mostly vertical and strength athelticsim. Azuibike just stands there and does everything Williams works for. Or Okongwu if you want to be a little more athletic.

What are we going to do with a non-stretch undersized PF for gods sake? lol...thats our Draymond Green?
Toppin>Williams if thats the route you want to go. much more horizontal athleticism and deep shooting potential.

he’s a 6’5 PG with a 6’8 wingspan. I’m not worried about him getting smothered by defenders

my concern with hayes is he doesn’t use his right hand much. He will need some time to develop. But, what he does well, the bulls have nobody that can do...excellent passer and distributor of the ball. Excellent in the pick and roll and making the correct decision out of it. Has a really advanced feel for orchestrating an offense for a 19 year old

nobody is the actual height they are listed at in basketball

You guys got me off the ledge about Hayes.
And he can shoot. Which always translates.
Hayes>Williamsx10.

Hayes should probably be top 4-7. I see that now after looking at them all a little closer. The tall skinny euro players skewed my perception for one thing. I like him and Anthony over Ball because they can shoot.

I don't understand why Azabuike isn't even like mentioned...he is one of those guys that will drop to OKC and then everyone looks around like "how does OKC draft so well in the late teens and twenties?

Anthony and Azabuike are the teen dreams.

OKC doesn't draft well, like 10 teams have to be dipshits for OKC to get most of their picks.

That said, keep inhaling brother. It’s good for you. I am still holding out hope the GS rumors are true and the bulls move into that #2 spot and nab Wiseman.

Rask's new Best Available...

1. Wiseman
2. Edwards
3. Toppin
4/5. Anthony/Hayes (Edit: I have seen reason on Hayes pre-draft)
6. Okongwu
7. Azubuike
8. Ball (its at this level where speculation comes to play. I guarantee the 7 guys above help you to some degree)
9. Deni
10. Okoro
11. Saddiq Bey

Obviously projections and what not, drafting styles...I'll prefer a Naismith candidate to development projections. The thing I don't understand in todays free agent market is how a raw 19 year old helps you? You spend 3 years developing Ball to a point he can help you more than he hurts you, and he is negotiating within 12 months for a big contract or a new team. Azubuike is getting you 15 rebounds a day from game 1, causing problems down low, mismatches....and unfortunately boring your fans to death with a 50% free throw percentage begging to get fouled.

That sucks...but with Ball you are getting penetrated and dunked on for 3 years, and losing. Pairing him with Lavine or White would be disastrous. By the time he has value....he's trying to get traded to play with Lonzo.

This guy is a bit higher on Hayes than I am, but he makes some valid points about his game translating to the NBA

No, it's trade up to draft Williams because they think the Pistons will do it before them.

Williams is the guy

The point is your supposed to get Cory Maggette or James Worthy at #4...not Patrick Williams, who will have a hard time developing a skill game to be effective in the league as a non-stretch PF.

Azabuikie has more touch around the rim right now than Williams will ever have. If you want a rim player take a freaking rim player. Williams is the worst pick I can imagine there. So...after the "leak" news....anything else will make me happy.

Maybe this GM is triple voodoo three dimensional facade of chaos chess smart.
