lol at the Bogans era. At some point, everyone seemed like they were the missing piece. Including one guy who kept saying Carmelo is a natural SG.

Moving LaVine makes sense. I like him a ton, he's got the right mindset and heart, but if you know this thing needs to reset, just do it while you have the deals on the board. Mavs don't have the leverage, the Bulls do. The Mavs need to bring in a big player to be a real title team, the Bulls are still in purgatory hoping enough guys break out and give the FO some direction with filling roles.

From my understanding if Atlanta hadn't offered a max, JoJo would be have been here.

I was in that camp as well. Get Joe Johnson and sign David Lee instead of Boozer. Left room to build and flexibility to trade. But you know what, I'm not a fishing buddy from Iowa, nor am I a headcase former grinder that nailed a clutch 3pter in 1993.

I'm a big fan of Killian Hayes. He's the guy I initially wanted but then I started doubting him being good because nobody talks about him going this high. When I watch his highlights, I think he's a really good PG with high upside. I actually prefer him over Ball.
It seems like every scouting report I see about Hayes is opposite from the next. One says that he's explosive, another says he can't get to the basket. One says he sees the court really well, the other says he just blindly passes the ball.

exactly...it seems there's no consensus on the guy. I saw another guy who said Hayes is too predictable and can't go to his right side. Could be true. Idk, but when I watch the Youtube highlights, I see someone who has vision when passing the ball almost as well as Ball, but is a better shooter than Ball.

Wow Chris Paul was traded. I thought that contract would be next to impossible to move

doesnt really seem like a worthy #4 pick, but he does have NBA size for the 3 spot. Good free throw shooter, if that translates to him developing his outside shot then it could be a solid pick. Dude seems a lot like Okoro from Auburn IMO

Lot's of talk around Patrick Williams.

- Long and athletic 3/4
- Can handle the ball a little bit, scored a bit out of the P & R.
- He is a good team defender and high effort guy - don't think he as good in isolation as some might think.
- Good on the boards.
- Not a great shooter but have to respect him.
- He is versatile on offensive side though, could be a very good small ball 4.

Not really worth #4 if you ask me - he will likely have a high floor, low ceiling.

I'm not looking to start a large argument here, but just genuinely curious: what makes Patrick Williams unworthy of the #4?

I think it’s a mentality thing where one assumes having number 4 over all pick you should get a franchise changer

That's fair. I thought it also might have been because of the salary slotting, although that's probably less of a reason.

he has a dumpy body. 6th man in college in the lottery?

9 ppg below average athlete, are you kidding me? This better be after a trade down.

If the route is physical maturity, why not just take Toppin there? That would be my first question.

I'm still of the opinion they take one of the three PGs. I'm guessing they will do some kind of trade.

Corey Maggette was a 6th man in college and he was an 18 PER player.

I hate all 3 point guards before Anthony.

I'm guessing if there isn't a trade up for Edwards or Wiseman I'm probably not going to be very happy.

The other possibility for the bizarre draft lead up, is they like Toppin and don't want trade ups to get wind.

My top 10 is probably

1. Wiseman
2. Edwards
3. Toppin
4/5. Anthony/Hayes (Edit: I have seen reason on Hayes pre-draft)
6. Okongwu
7. Azubuike
8. Ball (its at this level where speculation comes to play. I guarantee the 7 guys above help you)
9. Deni
10. Okoro
11. Saddiq Bey

just for the record of accountability if I'm gonna talk shit.

I think the drop off after the first 6 I mentioned is high. The other guys like Hayes I see stuck in the D league. These guys can help your team. If we take Williams at #4 we need a new GM already.

I really don’t think the bulls want to stay at #4, so it’s hard to say who they will take till we know for sure where they are picking from. If they stay at 4, I think they lean Hayes

I think it's going to be one of those LaMarcus Aldridge for Tyrus Thomas trades.*

* I have much more confidence in AKME to not make that player evaluation.
