Tbf, Duke beat the original dream team. Although, chuck daly might have had a hand in that, but still. Most likely a college team isn’t beating an NBA team but anything is possible. Players/teams have off nights
It wasn’t Duke. It was college dream team esque. Also. It was cause they didn’t care. And pretty sure mj didn’t play at all

Why can't Ayo be a superstar? I know this is a good environment for a rookie, team has a lot of offensive weapons....but I can't remember the last time we had a rookie that was putting up 24/8/8 type stat lines. He's quite clearly a naturally gifted, well-rounded, high-IQ player.

Yeah…likely Ayo gets drafted 15-20 if he comes out after freshman year.

He was well thought of athletically and has all the tools. Came out in a guard heavy draft after a tourney flop and no tourney year before.

The Illini offense was basically **** around for 25 seconds and then give Ayo the ball in a shitty spot where he had to create everything himself and he still dominated.

No reason he isn’t that guy.

He will be top 5-8 of this class within another couple weeks, and only because it’s a great class is he playing this well and that low.

Bottom line is he’s already proven he’s a player in this league. Most 2nd rounders never do that.

His floor looks 6th or 7th man already and a valuable defender. His ceiling is looking all-star or maybe at the very least a winning type player…a championship piece.

I’d increase Whites minutes until we can trade him.

But do White and Caruso and Ayo compliment each other?

Where do Green and Williams fit?

What is the correct time split between Ball/Ayo and then what does that leave Green/Caruso/White?

Playoff rotation?

All I can summary with is that this is actually one of the few times I can say I’m glad I’m not GM. Good luck figuring this out AA. LoL.

The more I think about it, I trade Caruso and keep White.
Here me out, I think Ayo and Ball do a lot of the same things as Caruso and White is more of an offensive spark plug.

I can get more for Caruso maybe. And I also need to eat crow big time on our 3 point %…holy shit #1 even with Vucevic going through slumps. And on Balls 3% in particular, I fucked up.

White's the odd man out unless he can defend better or keep playing like he did in January. I don't really see Green conflicting with the sitation too much as normally you'd rather have the more skilled players out there anyways in Ball & Caruso. When Williams comes back he should be starting or taking more of the Wing minutes. He stretches the floor in a way that Javonte/DJJ/Troy Brown trio can't. In the playoffs teams will pack the pain and scheme to let Javonte or Vooch shoot open bricks from the corner 3 or at the top all day. Pat will nail those at a decent clip(When he's not scared to shoot). I'd just play it by the ear depending on the situations.

I'm not completely there yet on Ayo > Ball. I think Ball offers a bit more defensive versatility, and he's the QB of the defense, but it's a fun argument. It won't really be an either OR problem fortunately. If we believe in Ayo's playmaking it's more important that he can get some of those guys on the 2nd unit good looks, that Lonzo wouldn't be able too. Also there's a good chance Ball and Ayo are closing for the Bulls since Lonzo can guard 1-3.

Billy sometimes does some stupid $hit .

You take Vooch out at the around the 3 min mark in the 3rd and you finish the quarter down 8

Put him back in to start the 4th and make your run to get the lead or at least get it tied while Embiid is on the bench instead he does nothing and the Sixers lead surges top damn near 20 in the first couple of mins of the 4th ....just horrible management because there is no need to save him . If we get back in and win the game he can rest tomorrow if the lead gets extended anyway you sit the starters and get ready for the Suns tomorrow

Couldn't hit the 3 and couldn't guard the 3. Hopefully they have a better showing vs the Suns tomorrow

The Bulls have been fun to watch.

I also enjoy watching the Suns.

If Zach plays, I think bulls win

Also, I have to find a way to watch this one since it’s on NBA tv ?

I would still have my doubts just because the Suns are so hot right now and they're just statistically one of the top 3 teams right now plus no health issues. Fully healthy, I think it'd be a close one, but no AC and no Lonzo really gonna show here. At least they don't have a true PF either to expose that weakness of ours. On paper we can still match up with them but I think we're gonna see a show from their backcourt, especially if we don't have Lavine.

Also be prepared to see just how good Mikal Bridges is defensively. Hopefully Derozan can still have a good game, but Bridges has been really underrated in DPOY convos this year imo.

Naturally I hope I'm just wrong about everything and the Bulls trash them tonight while Cam Payne builds a house of bricks.

Oh, for sure the bulls will see a shit ton of pick and roll tonight. That’s the bulls weakness minus ball and caruso. It’s part of why I feel like getting schroder makes some sense…he’s a solid pick and roll defender.

If Zach doesn’t play, I agree it’ll likely be a beating. With Zach, bulls could have a hot shooting night and just outscore them

It’s certainly a matchup that would be fun to see both teams go at it at full strength. That’s honestly been the shittiest thing about this whole season, hardly any great matchups are actually great because of players being out

It actually appears Cam Payne is out with an injury.

Large disparity in quality of shots. Bulls are constantly having to work so much harder to get looks that are worse than their opponent
