Since Duncan Robinson has been absolutely terrible this year, I fully expect him to hit 6-7 3s tonight and score 20+

yep, clear cut case…Ja isnt important to the Grizzlies. You clearly watch ALOT of Memphis basketball games
MVP is a regular season award. Of course Ja is the singular most important player the grizzlies have. But that award isn't a "big picture" award. It's about an individual causing wins for his team in the regular season. How is Morant more valuable than Antetokounmpo? Or Luka? Two guys likely not going to win MVP but their teams have a similar record and better individual stats. Plus, look at how their teams perform without them.

Ja has absolutely no chance at MVP this season.

Lmao I never argued he was going to win it

You claimed the grizz losing two games he came back was the final “destruction” to any MVP chance he had. I disagreed with that notion. Nothing more

Personally, my top choices to this point would be: 1. Embiid, 2. DeRozan, 3. Jokic, 4. Doncic, 5. Antetokounmpo, 6. Paul, 7. Curry. Durant was in the top 2 for me before he went down.
Also, yeah…Paul ain’t ahead of Ja on the list. Isn’t he hurt for like the rest of the reg season anyways??

He's a pretty good perimeter defender and stretches the floor. Danny Green and Caldwell-Pope aren't PER guys but role players that serve their purpose.

Is he that good of a defender though? His big contract was given to him to hit 3s, he's struggled mightily with that this year. Of course you can't leave him open and he's a threat in that way, but his numbers are way down this year compared to last.

Paul is a better two way player and a natural facilitator. He's definitely helped improve the guys around him this season. Morant is basically the main piece that helps stabilize Memphis' offense. Per game stats don't always tell the whole story. Look at Westbrook

None of that matters. They aren’t giving the MVP to a guy that doesn’t even play the last third of the season. You can take him off your list
