I agree that is an opinion. Just like it’s an opinion that there aren’t 29 better players in the nba currently. You may think it’s so, and it may very well be so…but you can’t prove it and thus it’s an opinion too

really, all you’ve managed to do is agree with my original comment that started all this, that an argument can be made that ZL is the bulls best player. Congrats on making all this fuss over just agreeing with me about my original comment

BTW, the VORP stat has Demar tied with Luka. It’s not as though it’s claiming demar sucks or some shit
Got it. We all have opinions.

There’s no advanced metric that has Demar in the top 10, so I guess they are all trash metrics?! Right @Enasic ?!

if there’s none that have him that highly ranked, not sure why you’re so salty over VORP in particular ?

Your win shares/per 48 has Daniel gafford ahead of Demar…VORP at least doesn’t make that “GAFF” lol
Not sure your point. I never made the claim that any advanced metric was the “WAR of basketball” or the “most accurate advanced stat.” You made that claim regarding VORP. Like you said, we have all opinions

Point was you mentioned WS/48 earlier as a piece of the puzzle. And I’m pointing out that that one has gafford as a better player than demar, which is ridiculous

Another outstanding thread from @Grimson though! Crushed the record for posts in an IGT this season!

Now to go watch the bears struggle to play football, I guess

You’re coming off as a bit childish here and really grasping at straws. Why are you bringing in top 10 ? Where did this come from? Lol…don’t recall discussing a top 10 ranking. Stick to the topic here. VORP is part of the equation Knox I’ll give you that but I don’t agree with your opinion that it’s the holy grail basketball stat. Let’s move on this is getting dumb now

Cool. I never slurped WS/48 like you did VORP. They’re all pieces to the puzzle

Lol because you’re acting as though he should be ranked that highly. You claimed 30 to be crazy, so one would only conclude that you must have him much higher, no?!

you’re correct about the dumb part

It points to how WS/48 is less accurate than VORP, as VORP doesn’t make that same mistake of having gafford ahead of demar and Zach

Knox I like ya man but you’re super sensitive and non sensical when it comes to disagreements. You paraded your opinion of VORP being the war of basketball and most accurate advanced metric as fact, when it is far from it. Once we established the fiction, you grasped at straws and straw manned other arguments that were never part of the discussion. Just let it go man. I get it…you have strong opinions and put VORP on a pedestal that I don’t. That’s fine….but as you so eloquently said earlier, just because it’s your opinion doesn’t make it so. Can we move on now or you gonna channel your inner remy and vortex this for days?

Lmao it’s not the WAR of basketball?

that’s exactly what it’s designed to be…

WAR stands for wins above replacement

VORP stands for Value over replacement player

you can not like the stat all you want, but to now claim it’s not something that it clearly is, is just non sensical.

to say it’s the war of basketball would mean it’s as meaningful. It’s not…again, they’re two different games dude. Stats are much more defined and meaningful in a sport like baseball than basketball. Again, I get it…you love VORP and in your head it’s the holy grail. Great. Buts it’s nothing more than your glorified opinion. Are you ready to move on?

No, it’s to say it’s the same type of stat that is a culmination of every aspect of the game(s). You can try and backtrack and pretend about what you said all you want, you said it

we can move on anytime you’re ready to stop making asinine claims and strawman grasps

Would love for you to extrapolate this straw man claim. The whole disagreement stemmed from your claim that VORP is this factually holy grail most accurate advanced metric out there. You boldly and confidently paraded this argument. Obviously, this is false or at best, your opinion. It’s a flimsy stat and to say there is even a “most accurate advanced metric” is highly debatable and the definition of opinion and not fact. Not sure why you keep perpetuating this nonsense.

I conceded that the argument between DeMar and LaVine is close. Certainly much closer than the 12th to 30th gap that VORP would have you believe. I stated that if people want to choose LaVine over DeMar for bulls MVP, that’s fair enough. Yet you keep spinning your wheels and droning on because you can’t possibly be wrong or concede anything lol. Let it go, Knox..let it go. VORP is a tool in the evaluation box…it is not the holy grail or a factually relevant stat compared to other advanced stats…and it is clearly not a defining metric as far as rankings go. Genuinely shocked that you can’t just concede this and move on. Although, it’s very Par for the course with you.

Well. ZL is ahead of Demar in BPM as well. Can’t find RPM stats for this season on ESPN, but I imagine if it’s similar to BPM…
RPM is blank on ESPN for some reason. Why? I have no idea.

In any sense, I doubt it changes this argument.

Zach does seem ahead in several advanced stats. Does that make him more valuable to the team? Depends how you're measuring.

One could make an argument it's measured in games the other did not play in... DeMar and the Bulls won 2 games without Zach, while Zach and the Bulls got blown out in both games without DeMar.

Extremely small sample size, but, I'm just stating one could make that argument.

Personally, from everything I've put together from myself, I think DeMar is more valuable to the Bulls than Zach. .though its close... I will say, beyond the buzzer beaters though, DeMar's shot has really bad the last three games while Zach has been better in the box scores. DeMar has been clutch, but we also know Zach can be clutch, Zach just hasn't been given the shot at the end of games this year.

Either you want me to elaborate, or you want me to let it go. You can’t have it both ways…you seem confused
