Because he’s not very good.

Also, it seems like the Bulls get screwed routinely by bad officiating at home more than any other team
I think BD was looking for offense too and can't rely on that from Williams.

And yes, the Bulls didn't get the benefit of some calls at the end there. However, the refs didn't make DeMar dribble off his foot. The Bulls had some self imposed mistakes there at the end as well.

But he can rely on offense from Caruso??? That’s who PWill should of been in the game for. Instead, Caruso was out there getting bullied around by Ingram and Zion, cuz well yeah of course they would…they are twice his size. PWill did an excellent job defending those two guys. He should of been out there, instead it was Caruso and all of a sudden Ingram and Zion go off. Not hard to figure out why

Oh I’m not saying the Bulls deserved to win. They continue to play some incredibly sloppy basketball. The DeMar play at the end was one, but you could point out so many instances that the Bulls were just careless and lacked concentration. This has been going on since well…forever really.

As for BD, it’s pretty clear he prefers to play small and favors Caruso despite literally being 0 threat on the offensive end. I think AK thought he was getting a 40% 3P shooter like he was in LA and being a valuable 3&D player. Unfortunately, that hasn’t happened. I’ve had issues with BD even going back to his first year here, and his lineups/subs are among the many reasons why. They still could have won that game though (despite the refs) if they just played smarter basketball and valued the possessions like a vet team should.

BD trust Caruso more than PWill.

Not saying it was the right decision, just trying to speculate what BD may have been thinking there.

BI is the most underrated all star level player in the league. Its only a matter of time until he gets it going. He is a mini KD that when he gets to his spots its automatic like Derozan.

The Bulls double teams did well against them because no one was hitting shots and they werent sure how to play. Devonte Graham passing back to Zion quickly after the double team is when they started to figure out how to beat it. Then, Zion put on his grown man strength and Ingram got to his spots and got hot.

Also, Valencunias played great against Vuc and took advantage on his one on one because of said double teams on Zion and Ingram. I think it will be interesting when they play next week and how the Pels adjust to the Bulls game plan. It was one of the better ones I have seen against them.

BD ruined it with about 5 min left in the game with his matchup decisions

Bulls fall behind early as usual

PWill has made some nice offensive plays so far

Bulls, in particular demar, need to watch how Denver passes the ball around and finds the right mismatch on offense

This has been a mostly bad game. Surprised deficit isn't 30.

Because Jokic has rested for a few minutes in each half and somehow the Bulls remembered how to be a competent team with him off the floor.

MPJ looking like a stud tonight, when healthy the guy is a bucket

I don’t get why BD refused to play joker straight up. Instead, those weak double downs just gave wide open shots to the rest of Denver’s roster

Should let Joker get his and clamp down on the others instead.

It’s a small sample size, but so far the bulls look like a pretty bad team.

Because they are

AK needs to shake it up. BD is an underwhelming coach. Their 3 best starters - Zach, DeMar, and Vuc, are all poor defenders. Vuc is a FA. DeMar is 33. They have no cap space to improve. Staying complacent is a bad idea. This roster isn’t good enough

It was never good enough, nor was it ever really in question that it was. Probably the most disappointing thing about this current team is the offense. I can, to a degree, understand the defensive woes and (lazily) blame it on personnel, but I was really expecting more out of this offense. Alas, they can't seem to ever be able to shoot 3s consistently (at least they're not Lakers bad? but it feels that way), and now in this game they can't even make a simple pass. This is a team that should be able to put up points with ease but if they're not in transition it feels like such a struggle.

The team can basically hard reset after this season though, it's not 7 years of sucking and failed draft picks necessarily. No one's taking Lonzo but you can flip most anyone else if you wanted
