Everyone wants to make predictions, but then want to have it as vague as possible to cover themselves lol

At least when I make a prediction it’s clear, concise, and bold(I.E. The Bulls win over the Celtics). Otherwise, I don’t bother making one.

Like, what’s the point in saying you think the Bulls could finish anywhere from 7th spot to a non playoff team? That covers 9 of the 15 spots in the East, you have a 60% chance of being right just on numbers alone not even factoring in knowing certain teams are going to be better
No one is pretending to be Nostradamus here. At least not me. My “predictions” are pretty clear and easy to understand. 43 wins…not a title contending team…6-8 seed but chance they miss entirely because of the play in. Sorry it’s not bold enough for you lol

Predictions are just some opinion really. Nothing wrong with it, except those who don't admit they're wrong later if they are.

Like I had no hope of Bulls beating the Celtics, so I predict a big loss. Instead it was a big win. I'm wrong.
Well of course that’s what they are…what we think are informed opinions.

And yes, it helps when those are able to acknowledge when wrong

I don’t put a lot of stock in preseason but at the same time, it’s not like this team deserves the benefit of the doubt. Their last 40ish games last season were not good (being nice) defensively. I’ll need to see a long string of plus games for me to be sold on anything else…and against legit playoff teams, not bottom feeders
2-0 so far

Exactly this. The back end lottery pick would go to the magic as well. That would be a very Bulls like thing to happen
How soon we forget about the Portland pick if they don't make the playoffs.

Oops. Had that backwards.

Yes, if Portland makes the playoffs the Bulls get their pick. So far, so good.
Jerami Grant has been a really nice pick up for them, complements Lillard well

Well you couldn't trade Patrick Williams* for Jerami Grant.

* I may have said that. Can't remember.
I recall Jerami Grant being a point of contention last year. Not sure if it was more contract situation or skillset that people couldn't get behind though.

Could have been both. They wanted Williams. In hindsight, I feel stupid not wanting them to make that move.

I don't think it would have moved the needle last season, but coming into this year could have been something.

Probably both yeah. Grant's contract is in its last year, so we'd be trading at least 2 years of PWill (and his alleged potential) for essentially a 1 year rental of Grant (Grant ended up being "injured"* from March onward last season). And Grant's contract is another 20M on the books, whatever that means for salary matching purposes.

Safe to say, at least through 4 games, this was a mistake. PWill is looking like the next Anthony Bennett while Grant is making an impact for Portland.

*Not sure if real injury or tank injury

Haha and oddly enough, I was “okay” with it if they had pulled the trigger on that trade despite being a “homer” when it comes to PWill lol

Even more odd, I was against the trade ?

I think the main reason was the contract to Grant and I was probably a bit more hopeful on Williams at the time. I honestly don’t remember. Ultimately I don’t think Grant moves the needle much for this team as far as title contention goes, but would definitely help secure a handful of more wins I’d imagine.

Think this is more relevant for the B&I forum.

Saying the Bulls are likely to be a lower playoff team with no chance to win a title is not spreading hate. It’s rather realistic. I don’t think anyone on here hates the bulls or hates posters who have a differing opinion lol. Having differing opinions on a sports team on a sports message board is well…..kinda the whole point of discussing sports on a message board. Could you imagine if everyone agreed about everything all the time? Gross
I do not think several posters who come here are good faith actors arguing sincerely.

They are here to feed and/or spread dissent for some warped agenda.

Portland suddenly looks like a contender with him. And simons has turned into a splash brother

Myles Turner scouting game.

We should have traded PW last year when he could have landed a suitable replacement.

I’m sure none of the PWill haters are watching the game, but in the first few minutes of the game PWill has 5 points an assist and a steal on 2/3 shooting
