To commemorate the end of Zach's tenure as a Bull, here's the stats up through the trade as we go into what hopefully is full rebuild mode.

Zach leaves as by far the Bulls best scorer, 3pt shooter, and the only regular starter with a positive plus minus, though only just so (but the rest of the Bulls starters are in the pits of plus minus so).

Vuc's shooting has fallen just enough to where he's averaging "only" 40% from 3 now, but that should be more than enough value to trade him somewhere.

Bulls do a very Bulls thing by winning their next game after supposedly committing to the rebuild (and thus implicitly the tank) on a night where a loss would've moved them into better draft position.

Meanwhile the current rumor mill states the market is dry for Vuc now that the Warriors seem intent on asking for literally every all star's availability (maybe since the Mavs were dumb enough to trade Luka they think there's a chance) and that the Bulls intend to keep Lonzo and re-sign him in the offseason. Supposedly at best the Bulls could only really hope to get a couple 2nds for Vuc. Vuc is prepared to remain a Bull for the rest of the year, so he says...this is a couple days after he also said he was thinking he got traded.

While most of the time the rumor to keep Lonzo would be a tactic to try to get better trade offers from others, since it's the Bulls I am just going to assume they're serious. Supposedly teams are offering some form of draft capital for Lonzo even right now. It would be a very AK thing to do to deny draft capital.

Also shout out to Matas for the career high 24 points on 10/10 shooting

Matas and PWill need to get more minutes and more touches going forward. Especially if they move Vuc and one of Coby/Ayo.

Was AK lobotomized? Keeping Vuc and entertaining re-signing lonzo who missed two years and had a cartilage transplant in his knee? Starting to feel sorry for AK, he’s clearly mentally challenged

I am actually willing to bet that he's shopping Vuc hard but every other team out there is like "yeah...best we can do for you is our worst contract or a top 59 protected 2nd rounder in 2031, take it or leave it"

The Warriors are still an obvious trade destination, but it seems MDJ is obsessed with asking for anyone who made an all star team this year instead. Lakers are also a target, but I doubt that return would be anything more than what I jokingly said above.

For Lonzo...I could see AK actually being that crazy. Not that I agree with him, but Lonzo looks pretty healthy, is arguably the team's best perimeter defender, and for sure is a player that helps others look better while being a net positive player himself. All the more reason to get some sort of draft capital for him imo, but can't trust AK to get anything other than negative value in trades so

They have got nothing for DeMar, Caruso, or Zach so I do not see the reason to be stingy with Vuc and Zo. Anything better than bad contracts is fine with me.

Supposedly Vuc is the back up plan for the Dubs if they do not get KD, and KD has said he doesn't want to go there.

So you're telling me there's a chance?

Edit: NOPE!

lol Vuc failed another tryout for the Warriors tonight. Dang it now they won't trade for him in the offseason

Stats at the all star break. Obviously, not much difference since the trade deadline as there have only been 5 games

Bulls have waived Adama Sanogo and signed Jahmir Young to a two way contract in his place

Sanogo had a knee injury that would have him out for 4 weeks. Young is a guard who was averaging 22ppg in the GLeague playing for Denver's affiliate.

Bulls love stockpiling their guards
