I think it's literally just Brooklyn and that's it, but I'll double check

EDIT: according to 2025 cap space landscape: The outlook for each NBA team Brooklyn is by far the team with the most expected cap space. Detroit can have about $25M to work with, however they don't really need a Giddey and the max they can offer is less than $30M/year. Bulls were 3rd on the list, but if/when Giddey is re-signed, that cap space goes away. So for all intents and purposes, the only threat to outbid the Bulls is Brooklyn.
exactly, so the bulls have no reason to bid themselves into a corner. does brooklyn think giddey helps them enough? who knows. maybe brooklyn bids it up just to **** the bulls cap room to take the bulls out on any FA that brooklyn does want, who knows

but from the sounds of it, theres only 1 team to even remotely worry about in this contract situation

Right. Brooklyn bidding up on Giddey to screw the Bulls FA this offseason doesn't even make that much sense (other than inflating Giddey's contract itself) because the Bulls won't have any cap space regardless once they re-sign Giddey. Brooklyn should be more worried about Detroit if they're looking at signing FAs this offseason. Of course, bidding up Giddey to remove Bulls' future cap space by a few million is also possible

$150M for Giddey seems like a mistake, IMO.

From a team building perspective, it's not ideal, but it's also not as bad as it seems on paper I think. Salary cap is pretty steadily growing so I guess it's not out of the question for $30M to be the new $12M or something like that
