exactly, so the bulls have no reason to bid themselves into a corner. does brooklyn think giddey helps them enough? who knows. maybe brooklyn bids it up just to **** the bulls cap room to take the bulls out on any FA that brooklyn does want, who knowsI think it's literally just Brooklyn and that's it, but I'll double check
EDIT: according to 2025 cap space landscape: The outlook for each NBA team Brooklyn is by far the team with the most expected cap space. Detroit can have about $25M to work with, however they don't really need a Giddey and the max they can offer is less than $30M/year. Bulls were 3rd on the list, but if/when Giddey is re-signed, that cap space goes away. So for all intents and purposes, the only threat to outbid the Bulls is Brooklyn.
