If the Cubs don't break the top 10 rankings then the rankings are bias

Hard to agree when you score 7 runs and your entire staff you had on that day can't find the strike zone for chit.

Brown shouldn't be a starter and the bullpen is still the same problem from last year. Speaking of Turner, why was he not pinched on the final out when he's an offensive liability?
Pitching stunk.

I didn’t mean to put it all on Turner. But the winning run scored on what should have been an out.

Nerve-racking at times is a closer truth

O is top 5 and staff is on the bottom 1/3. Going to be a rollercoaster year

What's the starters vs relief split? I can't imagine the starters are that bad aside from 1 or 2 outings.

ERA pen is worse. But they are both are bottom 20 ATM.

It should improve with innings added but Taillon has regressed and Brown has been poor. Steele finally had a solid start.

I can see Brown going down when Assad gets off of the DL to work on his command. Neely has been strong so far and his slider has been unhittable.

So they have internal options on the table. we can hope that Brown gets it together. I personally think of him as a stuff guy vs a polished starter. I do like his strike outs. It is between them that is the issue.

I still think trading for a TOR arm should be the main priority. It slots everyone else in more appropriate rotation slots and allows you to move brown to bullpen. Then Horton can be a wildcard in rotation or bullpen.

Steele to IL for 15 days with elbow tendinitis. Same thing he had last year. That's scary

They are going conservative with this. They have off days coming up and have Wicks as the next man up.

Speculation on Horton might be a reach. It is too early for the trade market. Losing Steele extended would be a blow but Boyd has been way more than expected.

Thurs is a off date. Then it looks like Boyd, Brown and Taillon vs the Dodgers.

Can’t hurt to take a flyer on him. We need any help in the bullpen

Looks like a lefty depth vs a MLB trade.

Horton did make the start yesterday. 4 innings 1 run, 3 walks 6 strike outs.

Sunday is still TBD. So Wicks was supposed to pitch yesterday and today is Richards. I am guessing Wicks gets another 🥃 💉 on Sunday. Then Taillon opens up the series with San Diego.

I would approach it as if we can get 1 game out of LAD we did great. But we have to make it up vs SD and spank their asses

If it was me. I am demoting Pearson. Bring up Wicks to start on Sunday and tell him get 5 innings in and just try to limit the damage. Have Rea on stand by to close it

Steele news to the side. This team is anything over .500 by the end of May. They going to be a force.

Brown pitching like that and Boyd pitching above his pay grade bodes well.

Looks like Jed is going conservative and pushing Rea on Sunday. I have nothing personal against Rea. But he was great in 2-3 innings work but was limited out of the pen.

Looks like they are converting Keegan back to a starter. They dropped Killian and Wicks seems to be in limbo ATM so makes sense to rebrand him.

And Steele is out fir the season. Reconstructive elbow surgery. Knew it was good when they out him on IL. Recurring. Sucks!
