Man that game is going to be epic. I know most don't like it, but I am a big fan of the outdoor games.

Will this be the largest hockey game attended live? Or is the New York stadium bigger?

Doesn't the "Big House" seat like 100K?

The biggest event was indeed at the Big House, when Michigan State and University of Michigan faced off in 2010. A tad over 100k in attendance. Largest NHL event was the Winter Classic in 2008 with the Pens and Sabres which had 71k. But the upcoming Leafs vs. Wangs at the Big House will surpass that.

Question is if Crosby will make an appearance in this game. He hasn't played in Chicago since 2006.

I'm guessing this is a way for the brass to get their money back. Just do it for one game only and everyone is happy.

That was a great game, between the 2 worst teams in the league hands down. Mr. Potatohead night giveaway as well. McDonut was definitely tuning in to that game.

Man... what a way to ruin a game that COULD be the preview for the 2014 Stanley Cup Finals by playing it outdoors.

It needed to be at the new Soldier Field. I loved the Wrigley Classic experience but I would rather see 60,000 fans in a stadium with better views of the ice. We could barely see the game action and almost all the goals were at the opposite end from us so we had no clue what was going on half the time.

Anyone going to be at this game? I will be there with about 10 guys from my hockey team. Should be a fucking blast, and a disaster.

Any of youse peeps meeting up anywhere before the game? The wife and I are talking about going to The Gage and sit at the bar for a few appetizers before heading to SF. Depending on the weather, might walk from there.

Beer Bistro has a pregame party with some excellent Slap Shot Brew selections.

I'll be there coming in from work with only an hour or so to spare. Luckily for me, my job is in Bucktown, so I'm not too far out.

But yes, I will be there in 254.

If there's any disaster of any kind, its me being in a rush to getting to enjoy the sights and sounds before getting to my seat.
