meh. bad period lost the game. Some missed calls yet again but my bigger concern is seeing what happens when Kane has to double shift an entire game. Way too much ice time for that kid. I understand the 4 days off thing but that still doesn't make double shifting in one single game an easy task. Gotta get Hossa back for some RW help. A few mistakes also cost that period. Wasn't a pretty 3rd period by the Hawks.



Ducks are a good team. A healthier Hawks team would have made a difference.



I think Carcillo is in the dog house. Didn't see him much in the 3rd period. He might not make the end of the season with this club. I think Q is high on Bollig and not so much on Carcillo now.

Uneven performance, flat in the first, did good in the second and the first 15 minutes in the third. Bad defensive play and running around on the tying goal and the winner. Hawks could have won this if they had buried some of their prime chances they had in the second. All in all not a bad game, just a black minute and the game was lost.



I still think that the Hawks performance this season so far has a more solid base than the Ducks. They looked well outmatched once the Hawks got going in the second. But the bounces went their way once again. Let the Ducks deal with the hypetrain for a while when the Hawks take a few days rest.

It was just fine until the last five minutes. You take away that and most of the first period and we could have won. I don't think I've been this mad all season long....

It stings that the Hawks were really close to winning it, but in the grand scheme of things it's a big meh...oh no third regulation loss with 30 games played.

It only stings how they lost. But yah meh 24-3-3 is all I need. 4 days off actually sucks if you ask me. 3 days off would have been better. I don't like 4 days off and I don't think players like that many days off either unless they are bruised up and beat up. Good for guys like Hossa and Seabs (who looks playing slightly hurt to me). Im in no rush to bring Hossa back (healthier in the playoffs is most important) even though Kane can't be double shifting. If anything the 4 days off might help find someway to get some proper help up the rw. All joking aside...Frolik...you kind of suck past the 4th line.





Call in show. PMX must be calling some guys slamming Bolland as the 2nd line center.



Call in show has a bunch of winners tonight. One loss and the jumpers are out on the bridge. Stan needs to make a trade...Bolland costs the team wins.....the stars are being beat up because there is no muscle on the team....Q needs to be fired...Bollig is the worst thing to happen to the hawks..etc etc. Its a fun shit show.

What negative thing(s) did Carcillo do that warranted him being benched so much? I must have missed it. Not that he looked great at all, but benched for half the game?

Twice we've lost leads late in the 3rd to the Ducks. Disappointing.

Frolic really tried to inspire this team with that open ice hit on Beauchemin...but it went to waste



I think this would be a fun playoff series...Hawks missed Hoss/Sharp for sure...but it was fun to see Toews' game elevate, Kane out there the entire game...thought Saad elevated his game as well. Stalberg was dangerous as well - teams can't answer his speed. I really hope they find a way to keep this guy. Leddy was pretty good too



One thing after nearly every game that I hear from other teams was - "this was playoff type speed/atmosphere". Hawks have been playing those types of games all year...where teams want to "measure up" against them, tried to stop the streak, etc. They get all fired up for one game...then slow down the next...where as the Hawks have been playing this speed all year.

This was a hard loss to swollow.. People can disagree with me on this..but Bollig's goal would have counted if we were playing any other team then the Ducks..that to me was not a kicking motion..he was skating and shifted his heal to stop. a kicking motion is when you bend your knee and kick or side foot it in, which we also have seen and not get counted. Oh well. We can blame our D for la la gaging in the first and the clearing was awful from our zone.
