I think this would be a fun playoff series...Hawks missed Hoss/Sharp for sure...but it was fun to see Toews' game elevate, Kane out there the entire game...thought Saad elevated his game as well. Stalberg was dangerous as well - teams can't answer his speed. I really hope they find a way to keep this guy. Leddy was pretty good too

Agree on Toews and Saad. I honestly believe Kane played too many minutes and by late in the 3rd it showed. No way am I suggesting Kane lost the game.. not even close but if something isn't done about getting someone else to log RW minutes Kanes going to be dead by the end of every game if he continues to be double shifted. Esp when the other team knows this like the Ducks and start taking a few liberties with him late in games. I may be dead wrong but Kane looked gassed late in the 3rd and frustrated. Don't blame him he took a lot of high sticks and hacks to go with the large minutes. Don't rush Hossa back but gotta find a way to get help on that RW to give Kane some rest btw shifts. Hes amazing and in amazing shape but no player can keep going like that.

I thought Kanes game was dangerous all night, and his puck possession was unreal. I do think he made a very poor pass to Seabrook, which helped cause the first goal, but that was early in the game.

It's not often there is a 1st or 2nd line winger missing (last two games) and with 4 days off, I'm sure he'll be fine.

Why did the Ducks not have very many shots for quite awhile, because Kane had the puck.

If Morin wasn't suspended they could have called him up, but they'd have never done that with one game then four days off. Can't imagine in the scheme of things last night meant much to them other than another game. They were already 3-0 on the road trip, with a pretty nice break coming up. Time to get Hossa (shoulder) back and also closer to getting Sharp (shoulder).

Funny or scary that without Sharp, Hossa, and Kane continuously double shifting, this team should have probably won the game last night. I can't imagine many teams I'd pick against the Hawks right now in 7 games. And that's currently without Sharp and Hossa.

Kings should be a good challenge Monday night.

Unless they're concussed. Hawks Doctors make players play concussed.

Kane's goal from the goal line extended was unbelievable. As soon as he shot that thing, I said to my 10 year old hockey playing son 'how in the heck did he get that one in there? There was no room.' I had to rewind it several times to verify my thoughts. Then this morning on Sportsnet Central, they showed it from a goal line angle. He had nothing to shoot at. I saw Sadd (I think) on the far side of the net flinching thinking he was going to get the puck in the face. It was truly a thing of beauty. Most players wouldn't even attempt to shoot the puck from that angle.

My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
The best thing is every loss other than Colorado was completely winnable.

They aren't going to win them all but I still take this team in a 7 game series against ANY in the league.

Last night no Sharp and or Hossa....

A-men.

Agree. Health is going to be this teams biggest challenge. Stay healthy during the playoffs, and I'll put them up against anyone.

I would say health and just bringing it. Whether it's being winded or thinking that they can subsitute skill for hard work, they simply can't take shifts or periods off. And even taking that into consideration, that's only happened in what, 3 games in over half a season?

My gut is telling me that this team has chemistry potent enough to be a match for 2010, and that tells me that every guy who puts on the indianhead come playoff time (assuming we make it--i don't want to jinx it yet) is going to buy into it and up the ante.

We're just as dangerous in the playoffs as any other team being mentioned: Anaheim or otherwise.
