My favorite teams
  1. Portland Timbers
  1. Chicago Blackhawks
I missed the 1st half of the game--even though I caught Toews sick shortie.

All I heard from my buds about the 1st was that "We played like shit." I think that's the weakpoint of this team; even though it seems like it's a lot rarer than the least 2 years, we have to stop taking periods off.

Also, Oduya...tell me...just what in the hell were you thinking taking passing lessons from Keith? Your NHL 11 Pass To Nowhere™ was what caused the game winning goal.

I think the positive to take away from this is that we are still down two marquee players and that the game was winnible (the part I saw)--we weren't outclassed, just outplayed especially in the waning minutes and that could easily be remedied by a few bag skates for the guys who decided to lollygag it and leave their brains on the bench.

The loss hurts but I am expecting the team to bpounce back and obliterate the ducks when we play them on our home ice--that needs to be a statement game.

It was actually Saad that passed it to the middle of the ice on his backhand, so the pass was ok.

Oduya was left back on the 2-3 on 1...so yes, ultimately him being on the ice, becomes his fault.

There was also a bad line change for the tying or 3rd goal I can't remember which.

We determined Bollig never hit him. It was either

1)Oduya (it's always his fault)

2)He had fake blood capsules in his mouth

3)He looked over at the bench and saw Frolic, and the mere sight of him forced him to bite his own tongue and convulse

The refs were bad all game long on both sides.... the TMM that you mentioned, the Koivu spearing on Kane, and of course my favorite one (but I kept quiet) was the Bollig high stick on Cogliano in front of 4 officials, lol

Can't blame this one on the refs, though, regardless of how deaf, blind and dumb they are.

We sleep through two periods and this is what happens.

Then fair is fair: Sadd needs to stop taking passing lessons from Keith yadda yadda yadda and the go-ahead goal was his fault.

Oduya, for that play, is exhonerated.

The best thing is every loss other than Colorado was completely winnable.

They aren't going to win them all but I still take this team in a 7 game series against ANY in the league.

Last night no Sharp and or Hossa....

Agree. Health is going to be this teams biggest challenge. Stay healthy during the playoffs, and I'll put them up against anyone.

Agreed. Five min. left from winning the game, on only one period and a half of good hockey from the Hawks...with no Hossa and Sharp...anyone else feel like they have seen enough of Brookbank?

I think with the Hawks locked in for the playoffs, you'll keep seeing Brookbank and rest Rozsy/keep him as fresh as possible. He's got a lot of miles on those 34yr old legs...and the idea is to keep him fresh/healthy/ready to go in the playoffs.

I would imagine the same can be said for injured players, they won't rush any back.

Unless they're concussed. Hawks Doctors make players play concussed.

...Kane double shifted with highest TOI on both teams (including some PK time), Carcillo with 2:26, and Bollig over 10 min, a fluky 1st goal for Ducks. 'Hawks just took way to long to get their game on, and when they did the Ducks went extremely long stretches with no shots or even shot opportunities. It is a shame that the game went south as quickly as it did, but this was no domination by the Ducks at all.
