Bell to the Marlins? Wow. I'd love to know where they're getting all this cash. Their 27 fans must be millionaires.
Yeah they signed him a few days ago... I think about 3 years/27 million.

I still think the Cubs will be on Fielder, potential line-up:
1) DeJesus
2) Castro
3) Headley
4) Fielder
5) Soriano
6) Byrd
7) Soto
8) Barney
9) pitcher
I think the Cubs will make a player after Cespedes (will take place of Byrd), I think there's a good chance Soriano will be traded (Byrd will play LF, until Jackson gets the call), Soto could be traded and maybe the Cubs sign another 2B. So.. subject to change and the line-up does not look bad.

Yeah.. there's a potential issue
They may want Marmol for Headley...could be base of trade. They did lose Bell, so it could make sense. But I'm iffy on that...
I was really hoping the Cubs would trade Marmol for a 2B or package him for a 3B. I also wanted to see them throw their hat in the race for Heath Bell, even though I know it was a long shot.
Side question: If Marmol is traded, do the Cubs look for a closer via trade or go in-house?
Give Wood a shot if he returns?
I wouldn't be against that. For the price, if he performs, that's a huge win salary-wise.
Chase Headley is about to become my new favorite Cub, I swear! He's going to kill in Wrigley. If we get Fielder and perhaps Darvish, I will cream myself so bad that my sheets will have a cum stain the size of Fielder's esophagus.

I would trade Marmol for Headley. To me a starting 3B is more valuable then a RP who pitches 60 IP. Also Cubs have other guys ready to close. Cashner, Wood, even Shark as the stuff to do so. Marshall, Carpenter has the stuff to close, Dolis is projected to be a late inning guy. Teams can find RP alot easier then 26 y/o starting 3B with potential of Headley at Wrigley
