I seriously wonder if we win tonight if a sweep isn't in the cards. Not trying jinx the guys but we eventually have to start playing well at home and starting 2-0 up just might be the reason we do play well at home. I honestly think if we go up 3-0 somehow, we finish them off.
But that could be a bad thing because I read not too long ago in the last 10 years in the SCFs the team that has played more games wins 70% of the time
Regardless of this statement, I still don't see us sweeping. People think that just because we won the first one means that we're sweeping all of a sudden? We barely got out of that game alive for heavens sakes. There's 6 potential games to go here and we have to keep our guard up at all times. Remember the last time we thought we'd "sweep"? We lost the next game... I don't like the odds of that, and I'm not too fond of the "pressure of winning at home", since we simply haven't stepped it up in that department yet.
You do raise good points, but there sure as hell won't be a sweep. People are taking the Sharks too lightly, especially since we came out of a great game in game 1... And as someone said earlier... This series isn't over til the 4th game is won. Just ask Boston.
If the Sharks win, I won't be surprised. I'd be angry, yes, because that means the boys HAVE to step it up at home in game 3 and not be fancy like they have been recently. If the Hawks win tonight, like I expect, it will calm my nerves down a lot.
Despite what people think, tonight is more of a "Must win" to see where the direction of the series will turn.
I agree, but I also see us dropping this game. Not that thats what I want but its more likely it will. San Jose is a great team. I say we lose this one 3-1 with with the third goal coming from an open netter.
