Fucking great Zach. The entire rest of FA this week is being held hostage by your indecisive ass as the first domino that needs to fall be it Suter waiting until you declare and Carle waiting until you both declare to GMs not being willing to get trades going until they *know* know. FFS.

I had to run to the store, and like a dolt I turned on AM1000. Fat Harry said Parise signed with Pittsburgh. Now I know why I haven't listened to that disaster in a long...long time.

Can't we just goad him into taking his talents to South Beach?

This is fucking lame---even The Great White Hope Schultz actually made his decision on the day he was officially FA. Granted, Schultz was a ****** but he knew all along the couple of teams he wanted to play for and then chose between them.

this is like a white verison of Labron James.

I can't wait for the fancy fireworks laden press conference with Robert Bosch and Bill Wade. (They're the only ones I could come up with on short notice).

He better sac the **** up and decide this shit tomorrow so as to not ruin people's holiday on Wed. It's bad enough a holiday is falling smack in the middle of the week.

Why are people pissed that Parise hasn't signed yet? He has every fucking right to take his time and determine where he will be the rest of his career.

Because everyone else is on record as saying he's the first domino for all intents and purposes. People want to move along and have their GMs essentially put together the team they will likely take into the new season. If this week is the first time he and his agents have seriously gone through the logistics and benefits/deficits of what going to every basically young-ish contender would be like then that's inane.

take it easy before, I grab you in a headlock and bodyslam you over the kitchen table today.

P.S. Ton I though it sounded to similer to what I read in TSN .Why are people mad at Parise? He's one of the most conscientious players . He's earned right to take his time.

Why is any of that his concern? Instead of other people waiting on him, maybe they should just move on with their lives. He doesn't have anyone held at gun point.

no, BUT it would make a difference if that person is concidering sighing with the same team, or a rival.

No one is saying that it's actually his concern at all but no fan in any sport likes to see FA and esp. the important players drag out---rightly or wrongly it feels like chain jerking when athletes do this and perception is what fuels the emotional reactions. And whether he likes it or not and whether that we know it's not his fault or not re other players the fact remains that his no decision shit puts a pretty visceral holding pattern on NHL FA. So it is what it is. He doesn't have to rush because of pressure from anyone and I don't have to like it that he won't rush it.

I have to agree with Ton. Parise is about to make a decision, that will in essence, affect the rest of his life. So what if he wants to take one more night and talk with his family about where he goes?

I understand the "everyone is waiting for him to sign", but if I'm a GM who isn't in the running, I'm contacting the next best things while everyone else has their thumb in their ass waiting for him.

And I would imagine they all are but that doesn't mean that anything tangible can happen if they've taken the, "I'm waiting for him/them to sign stance." And I would also think that the reason the next best things are waiting is because they too want to deal with all the serious contenders including the ones who are in it until the very end when the player chooses to go somewhere else.

I understand fan reaction. FA opening up in most every sport creates some measure of electricity and energy and it's disappointing when it has no way to disperse and naturally dissipate. And quite frankly I don't think there are too many fans who are sympathetic to an athlete who is trying to decide between multi-million dollar offers from multiple suitors---I don't think there are too many people who feel when it gets to that point that it's not about hemming and hawing over compensation. Is it wrong for a player to think of themself, their family, and greed? Absolutely not but there's also nothing wrong with fans finding it tedious. Eh, it is what it is.
