The Blackhawks will play game two of their nine game road trip; the Blackhawks will face the Edmonton Oilers for their final meeting of the season. The Oilers lead the season series, three games to one and the Blackhawks will be looking to end a three game losing streak and try to keep pace with the division leading Detroit Red Wings. Currently the Blackhawks sit in the number four spot in their division.

Just win.

The angst over who's the 2nd line center, and who the 5th/6th defense pair should be and if Q is a good coach is getting silly. Winning makes it better.

Considering the shellacking they gave us, this game is a test of heart, pride, and character. Win or lose, I'm hoping for a tooth-and-claw type of game like against Vancouver.

If we don't win this game, well.....I don't think I have to go very far to find a bridge to jump off (since I live within a few miles of the Mississippi River...)

Getting really old with the whole taking a period or more off per game. There are no excuses to lose this game.

It depends on how they lose.

If they lose lkike they did against Vancouver, you can at least say that they put the effort down even if the coaching is suspect.

If they play like ass, I'd recommend a swan dive.

If they play like they did against the 'Nucks, they should destroy the Oilers....I don't see any way they could lose to the Oilers like they lost to the 'Nucks....

Same line-up as last game.

Stu, they didn't take a period off last game against the Canucks, so what's the deal?

Great...so Q is only going to roll 5 d-men despite a fully capable one riding the pine that can be used to log minutes against the oil's 3rd/4th line.

Pretty much, we'll see how Scott is utilized. Gilbert is still out for the Oilers since the Carcillo hit, Nugent-Hopkins is also out, Dubnyk starting.

Please don't tax the skilled dmen. Let scott play 10-12 minutes... he's pretty much as good as any other 6th dman out there.

No reason to dress him if he's only going to play 5 minutes.

Would be nice to start a streak here.

With 8 more road games, including tonight, I think that might be a lofty expectation.

These are the games that, when you're in a tight division race, you need to win. How the Hawks come out for this game will tell a lot, I think. After dropping a tough one to the Canucks, they should come out hungry for blood. Let's see how prepared they are for this game. I wouldn't be surprised to see them come out flat and uninspired to be perfectly honest. This team has had issues looking past shitty opponents for a few seasons now.

Have to stack the top 2 lines. There is no reason not to this game. If they play Luke they did against the canucks they will bury the oilers. If they come out flat and inspired then ill be pissed.canucks game wasn't physical. Trave time isn't far and the hawks seem to play well with later starts. No real excuses if they come out flat.
